a person who posts a disagreement with the liberal slant will always be considered "offensive and abusive" whether they are or not. I'm sure the Pope and pastors are considered offensive and abusive no matter how kind they may be when discussing this. I won't be posting any more about this as I'm sure I'll be banned from this site for my conservative view points, no matter how honest and truthful I am but my stance will never change.

Posters are not banned for their viewpoints. However, your posts became abusive when you started replying with the insults towards other posters and anyone who did not share your point of view.

You don't agree with a subject fine, but the intolerance of others opinions and not letting posters post without a comeback to every post was getting abusive. There was not one post you didn't reply to with one liners and some were insulting others.

Everyone has a right to their opinions, but nobody has the right to insult posters.

Maybe I should have deleted each of the posts individually, but your first post is where the problem started.

Gay rights is an important topic to discuss as are other topics, but you were posting the same message over and over to anyone who posted. Posters were stating your posts were offensive.

You have the right to your opinions, but there are others who have the right to their opinions too. No conversation could be had because you kept posting your opinions and some posts were just plain hateful.

Posters should be respectful of others opinions. Whether or not you agree with something nobody should be insulting towards others.

We understand your feelings on the subject matter. Not everyone shares those feelings. It is not necessary to reply to every post. You are not making a point, you are becoming abusive.

Abusiveness and offensiveness is subjective. It seems that unless you take a liberal view point on this site, you are considered abusive and offensive, even if others are just as abusive and offensive. I won't bother posting again about anything. I'll leave this site to the liberals.

I deleted all of the posts starting at where it began.

I really do not want to hear anymore that I take favoritism to one side or the other. I've heard that before. Offensive, abusive, and hateful has no sides. If your message is hateful, offensive, insulting, abusive, it will be removed.

If you don't like those terms as posted in the TOS then you are free to leave.

I have just deleted a large portion of this discussion. A poster was becoming abusive and offensive to many who don't share her point of view.

I had to go to the beginning of the problem thread, and in doing so other discussions with interesting points of view ended up being deleted. My apologies for that. There was no other way I could get around it and I didn't feel like marking stars in every other post. There were a few good posts I didn't want to delete, but it's the only way I could get the offensive posts to end.

This subject matter is one of those "hot topics". Everyone has a right to believe what the want to believe, but please be respectful towards other posters. Not everyone shares the same opinion. Not one person is right or wrong.

Good discussions can be had without offensive remarks.

done a bit more often many of us would be more selective about what threads we invested much time commenting on and perhaps how much we were willing to accelerate back-and-forths with strident posters.

This doesn't count the negatives of interfering with free exhanges, of course, and that cost might be too great.

I do appreciate your preference not to throw people off the forum altogether, BTW.

Was because that post is where the whole conversation went off track. None of the posts were talking about the original message of the Hillary Clinton video, gay/human rights, but instead it was all about this one posters opinions about the lifestyle and some of the posts were offensive.

But none of it had to do with the OPs message, so I went to where it began to veer off the topic.
