One president at a time

Posted: Dec 30, 2016

We have only one president at a time and past presidents-elect have respected that.  It would be nice if this current, classless narcissist would keep his trap shut, particularly on foreign policy, until he is inaugurated.

;

I hope Obama remembers that after Jan. 20, one president at a time. - I hope he keeps his mouth shut.

Check mate.

Oblahblah is a beta male, in the tradition of Pajama Boy whose - tantrums are mildly amusing

to the grown ups in the room.

Skyped yesterday with our friend in Belarus who also watches Russian TV. She said all the coverage is very anti-Obama and very pro-Trump. They are business oriented journalists and they are loving Trump.

After Jan. 20 - Burt the Cat

[ In Reply To ..]
he will be a private citizen and can say anything he likes which is different from a president-elect trying to establish foreign policy by tweet before he takes office.

Early impeachment? Trump hasn't even been - inaugurated and hasn't done

[ In Reply To ..]
anything. I would hate to have you on my jury.

Emoluments clause - Burt the Cat

[ In Reply To ..]
He will be in violation of the constitution the instant he is sworn in.

Right. Trump spent all his money and time - to win and get impeached?

[ In Reply To ..]
Don't you know Trump has the best lawyers and advisors money can buy and if posters think he is going to be impeached I guess the impeachment posters are smarter than most average anonymous posters on MTStars and maybe should seek a job advising billionaires on how not to get impeached.

The idea that Trump, a billionaire success in business and the winner of the presidential election is blindly uninformed and going to be impeached is hilarious. Great minds and successful people surround Trump and are not posting on MTStars regarding Trump's impeachment.

I'm willing - Burt the Cat
[ In Reply To ..]
to wait and hope. His enormous inflated ego may yet do him in, advisors or no.
Inflated ego? Have you seen Obama with - steam coming out of every oriface?
[ In Reply To ..]
Dude thinks he can do no wrong and is willing to jeopardize the US to get the last word.

Obama should tuck his tail between his legs and go back to Kenya where he can be king of the hill. He no longer belongs in the US after selling US out. Obama is a traitor trying to get the last word on Trump.
I doubt he ever really thought he'd get the job. - He just wanted to be in the limelight.

Trump was in it to win it and he did. - Too bad so sad people cannot accept it.

Sore losers, sour grapes.

Bye Felicia.
No, what is sad is that so many fell for his BS. I predict ... - sm

there will be lots of regrets in the months and years to come.
Are you a psychic with a crystal ball - or just wishful thinking?

You wish the worst so you can say we should have elected Crooked Hillary? LOL.

Wrong on TWO Counts - LOL

Here is a link to the Emoluments Clause of the US Constitution, which prohibits titles of nobility:

http://www.heritage.org/constitution/#!/articles/1/essays/68/emoluments-clause

Unless and until Trump officially declares himself a "king," he is not in violation.

Even if he WERE to do that, it would not be grounds for impeachment. Cause of action for impeachment is limited to HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS.

You Trump haters really need to research before opening your big fat trap.
Trump THINKS he's a king. - Same difference.

c
Emoluments clause - OABO
[ In Reply To ..]
prohibits members of the government from receiving gifts from foreign states so if Trump does not get himself an independent administrator and foreign governments stay in his hotels, give his properties favorable rulings in doing business, those are gifts.

It would be better if he were NOT inaugurated. - Trump was a YUUGE mistake.

Lame duck president is one who is on his way out - and is useless

[ In Reply To ..]
Here is a clip on this very topic. Obama making laws and rules and regulations at a desk while a new President who is elected to undo most of his damage (9 trillion dollars. NINE TRILLION DOLLARS. 93 million dollars in vacations - I mean, come on!!!)is the damage along with foreign policy and just look at the ABC agencies. Watch CSPAN as they are asked to explain a 21 million dollar conference at some exclusive resort, or the pornography being moved in house with snide comments, or the focused IRS audits on the republicans, and BENGHAZI where 4 men who signed up to aid their country were sent to DIE.

He's been useless for 8 years. Now he's a big man. - LOL

Now Is The Time To Hold President Bush Accountable For TortureNov 16, 2010
ou might've heard that former President George W. Bush has a memoir out. And you might've heard that he vigorously defended his authorization to waterboard Abu Zubaydah and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. President Bush wrote, in Decision Points, that he "approved the use of the [enhanced] interrogation techniques," including waterboarding, on Abu Zubaydah, and that he responded to a request to waterboard Khalid Sheik Mohammed by stating: "Damn right." "Let me clarify....I'm not an actor."   Wonder what he means by that?  It's a shame, too, becuase he does kid's movies.  When are these elite Hollyweird nitwits going to grow up and realize you can't say things like this and excuse it a freedom of speech?  When it involves the president or anyone in politics, it's not taken as a joke. It's serious and there should be some kind of punishment for remarks like that.http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainme ...

Every one of them has serious flaws, either of character, personality, world view, experience, or philosophy - and in most cases more than one of these - that I simply cannot stomach. In my experience, it's always a choice between the lesser of two evils, but this election cycle seems to have brought out a spectacularly miserable collection of candidates.  And yes, Sanders and Trump supporters, I mean them too - or perhaps especially them too. It looks like I'll be sitting on my ...

The President SaysFeb 22, 2017
Part of what he says is tax cuts will help do that.  We have seen through decades that this has not created jobs and merely put more money in the pockets of the wealthy.  We have a wage gap that is out of this world.  I understand businesses are in business to make money, but there was a time when employers shared the wealth with their employees while still making a good profit themselves, and those times seem to have disappeared.   What things could he do to ensure that the ...

I've been reading this board, and it seems that those who support Pres Obama feel that he is not responsible for much, as it would seem with all of the recent stories hitting the news sites.  His primary voice seems to eminate around the equality being nonexistence.   Exactly what message does that send?  I am a normal individual and it sends the message to me is we are an unfair country, we offer no opportunity to any minority.  Apparently it has sent the sam ...
