How can he do that? He doesn't reside in Chicago, he resides in D.C. You're only allowed to vote in the state you reside in, so shouldn't he be voting in D.C.?

There was no reason to report this message. If you don't want to open posts that have nm as the moniker then don't. Nm means no message. It is not used by just one person and it is not used by just conservatives. There are liberal posters who also use nm with one liners. One liners are not always drive-bys. Sometime a poster just wants to make a short statement about how they feel about an issue or topic.

I'm seeing a lot of liberal posters doing one liners to posts they don't agree with signing it nm, so it's not just conservatives. There are many posts by conservatives contributing to conversations, so don't say that every conservative poster on this board you can't have a conversation with.

Please stop reporting messages just because you don't agree with what they say. If you have a valid excuse for reporting someone that is fine. Reporting someone because you disagree with them is not a reason to report someone.

Yes, he is the president and lives in DC, however he still maintains a residence in Chicago and that is technically his permanent residence. One's permanent residence determines where he votes.

Here's another example--I went to college in WI for 4 years. I'm from IL. My permanent residence was in IL and that's where I voted, even though I was living in WI for school.
