Now here's an article I think we might all agree on

Written by a very wealthy "job creator" - he makes the case quite intelligibly for better conditions for the middle class.  Capitalism is not the problem. His message to his fellow zillionaires:

"Dear 1%ers, many of our fellow citizens are starting to believe that capitalism itself is the problem. I disagree, and I’m sure you do too. Capitalism, when well managed, is the greatest social technology ever invented to create prosperity in human societies. But capitalism left unchecked tends toward concentration and collapse. It can be managed either to benefit the few in the near term or the many in the long term. The work of democracies is to bend it to the latter. That is why investments in the middle class work. And tax breaks for rich people like us don’t. Balancing the power of workers and billionaires by raising the minimum wage isn’t bad for capitalism. It’s an indispensable tool smart capitalists use to make capitalism stable and sustainable. And no one has a bigger stake in that than zillionaires like us."

In my opinion, someone like this man with these ideas could bring the country together on many levels. Thank you for posting this!

Utterly incoherent, incredibly uneducated and quite stupid - MacroDiva

The guy's an idiot. If it is managed, it isn't capitalism. And if it managed, it isn't going to work.

Like what we got now - is working so well?

It's only working well for the rich people right now. That's not true "unmanaged" capitalism. It has been managed to suit them.

How is it market forces being able to pay an unlivable wage and your employees qualifying for food stamps and Medicaid? That's corporate welfare, not capitalism.

IMHO, any company who pays any employee so little that they qualify for govt assistance should be forced to pay that assistance themselves, then we'll see true capitalism.

You think this zillionaire is an idiot? So now even though someone is wealthy and have achieved the American dream that is not enough to even listen to them?

Is there now only approved conservative capitalism, i.e. the Koch brothers?

interesting points.  The article is about the ban.  It seems to me that the president should continue, as both Bush and Obama did, on putting new and adventagious things in the vetting process.  We can always improve on things but an all-out ban to me is not adventagious. The video in this touches on a few other points.  Perhaps listen with an open mind and maybe you will see how this "fine tuned" machine is running. ...

No matter how much you hate him this is a good article.  Cut him down all you want but it won't change the truth. Here's a quote from the article: Mr. Bush said that "the role of government is not to create wealth, but to create the conditions that allow entrepreneurs and innovators to thrive." I wish it was someone else who has said this because a lot of people sole purpose is hating and cutting him down, which diminishes from the importance of the article.   http://www ...
