McCain introduces Romney at GOP Unity

Posted: Apr 20, 2012

Boffo ticket. Be still my heart. Mr. get-off-my-lawn AND mr. charisma.

;

That's not all he's introducing. McC asserts support for - Romney's unpopular Afghanistan stance

[ In Reply To ..]
Mitt never met an Obama policy he didn't hate, and now McCain is chiming in his support of Romney's policy to oppose "early" troop withdrawal from Afghanistan after a flailing 10-year presence. Romney calls the withdrawal premature. McCain expresses disdain for those who are "hellbent" on withdrawal by 2014.

A recent Pew poll shows only 32% of all Americans believe US troops should stay until the situation is stable. This implies that GOP support has recently undergone considerable erosion. On the other hand, the following groups, who believe that progress has been slow, the country is still unstable and the government is corrupt, support rapid troop withdrawal in accordance with Obama's plan:

60% of independent voters polled
70% of democrats
48% of those who plan to vote for Romney

Seems voter opinion does not factor into this particular hawkish plank of the 2012 campaign platform.

I can't for the life of me understand why this was ever legal in the first place. If you have bad credit, you really need a job, right? No brainer. Also, what business is it of your employer's if you have a bad credit rating and why would it make any difference to what kind of job you do? Craziness and another example of stuff that happened when Bush was in office. Witness the drug companies benevolently deciding they will not pay doctors to push their drugs anymore. Senator McCain used to say he listened to the top military brass about Don't Ask Don't Tell.
