One thing I regret is that the Democrats did not prosecute the Cheney/Bush administration for war crimes. Now that would have been worthy of an Inquisition.

They went before Congress who voted and passed it as law. They also went before the U.N. Security Council resolution 1483, adopted on 22 May 2003, after recalling all previous resolutions on the situation between Iraq and Kuwait (left from the Gulf War).

The resolution, adopted under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, resolved many of the legal and governmental ambiguities that resulted from the 2003 invasion of Iraq by the U.S. and U.K.-led "coalition of the willing".

It empowered the US-UK coalition, making it the legitimate and legal governing and peacekeeping authority; recognised the creation of a transitional governing council of Iraqis; and removed all sanctions against Iraq that were placed upon the former regime of Saddam Hussein under resolutions 661 (1991), 778 (1992) and others. Additionally, it terminated the Oil-for-Food Programme. IOW, they approved the invasion after many months of trying to get Iraq to adhere to the UN resolutions of destroying their nuclear (which they only destroyed 28 out of 100 or 180-forget which) and their biological weapons.

Cummings had no business throwing his temper tantrum that day. There are rules to follow in committee hearings and he didn't follow them.

I really believe he had a slight nervous breakdown that day because it wasn't long after that when it was found out that he requested info from the IRS about some Tea Party groups.

It isn't "tired" news. It isn't "old" news and it isn't "hysteria". In fact it isn't any of what the naysayers on this board say it is.

It is a very important case that is being worked on as we speak now. The posters on this board have no idea what they are talking about if they say the things they are saying. Politicians, lawyers, judges and other important officials who are investigating this, don't investigate old or unimportant cases that lead nowhere.

There is proof there was a coverup (i.e. official documents in their possessions). For anyone to say how unimportant this is has to be one of the most cruel, heartless things to try and say. The men that were murdered had families and were important. What actually happened is even more important.

They are not going to be able to sweep it under the rug hoping voters will forget it so they can be re-elected. The ones who are doing this and trying to come out saying there is nothing to it (nothing to see, nothing to hear, move along, move along, grab your pail of sand to stick your head in, move along, nothing to see), well maybe they don't have a soul, but America has not forgotten. The family's of the slain have not forgotten. They deserve answers.

People should not be putting their personal hatred for one group ahead of doing what is right. When the results come out you cannot elect someone who has committed high crimes to a seat just cos you hate the other side.

As we have seen with the democrats who get called in, doesn't mean a thing if they are subpoenaed (at least in their minds). They will lie, take the 5th and when all else fails just say "what difference does it make now". After all it all depends on what the meaning of is is.

And they won't be able to say - "there is no there there."

That's why I don't depend on a lot of posts here for truth. Reading the ones by the naysayers/ridiculers (dratters, etc) it's just more spin. The perfect contrast is reading some of the posts here remind me exactly of Iraqi's Information Minister. As we were watching the news and heard the explosions going off outside Sadam's palaces he's on TV telling their people nothing is going on. Don't worry, those are not explosions you are hearing. LOL

Its fun watching the spin (kind of a little irritating though, like a hangnail you can't get rid of). When lawyers, judges, and politicians are involved in an ongoing case of what is equivalent to Watergate (actually worse), and you read liberals articles (the ones who are dangerous enough to know how to write and put a blog out in cyberspace for all to see). Reminds me of the Mark Twain saying "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt". Of course, not speaking for anyone on this site, just others I have read.
