What a perverted subhuman!

I just find it amazing that screening is not done before taking office - sm

especially a federal office. I realize he is not active in congress anymore, but what about local politicians. Some of them are perverts, too. There just seems to be a spate of them lately, this bozo, Anthony Weiner, Bob Filner, etc. And now someone (I forget who) wants to go after Bill Clinton again.
they do screen - sm

In this case, he was indicted after he was elected. He resigned his congressional seat after his conviction. I agree he should be locked up. Everybody gets "screened" when they are running for office.
Well, these are snakes then that slither through the cracks. - And how can someone dislike that post?
[ In Reply To ..]
This isn't about sides here. This is about anyone who is a pervert and screening fails and they wind up in office. Doesn't matter what party, what orientation, what race, what anything!!
what pervert screening would you suggest? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
There is no global pervert test. There are laws against perverted acts and they are enforced. Thus, his resignation.
Yes, you're right. Okay, I'm stupid and outraged! - I'm sick of the perverts! NM

I believe pornography in its multiple forms has helped to propagate an underground of degenerates. There has been an overall decay in morality for quite some time. I definitely DO NOT want to get into a discussion with anyone about this because everyone has an opinion and who is to say who is right or wrong, but I believe pornography has contributed to some of the decay.
I have to say, I agree with you entirely. - (poster you responded to)

I apologize for my brash post above. I totally agree with your succinct and intelligent remarks. I'm so sorry.
Let's not forget Newt and Sanford, who still, for some unknown reason, one holds office - (Sanford) and

the other is still on the national scene, was a primary candidate, endorsed by many Republican voters, and shamelessly hired by CNN (Newt).
Rand Paul may be the one you are thinking of. He wants to go after Bill Clinton since Hillary looks like she'd annihilate any of the GOP current hopefuls. He's trying to tarnish her record by striking out at Bill. I guess he believes it's always the woman's fault. That's what his words on this say to me anyhow.
I think Newt and Sanford had affairs. Don't think they were perverts. - There is a difference.

I suppose...cheating on a dying wife & claiming to be hiking while having an affair are not as h - igh on the pervometer

as what Reynolds is being accused of because having affairs that destroy families definitely lacks any form of perversion. And apparently deemed morally acceptable by Republican voters.
Oh, and even Larry Craig who was arrested for soliciting bathroom sex via the little footsie game doesn't come close to Reynolds.
It's horrible that these men (and women) - destroy families like this.
[ In Reply To ..]
I also include Democratic slime ball John Edwards in this group. Maybe the word pervert is not being used accurately here. I would consider Reynolds as a sexual deviant, a dangerous predator, same as Craig, Weiner and Filner. I'm at a loss to explain your hostility and interjection of what Republicans find morally acceptable. In my opinion, sexual deviants or sexual predators are on both sides.
I agree with you completely. Edwards is probably the top on my list for - destroying

and devastating his family in his despicable behavior. I voted for him in the primaries at a point where he knew full well his outcome would be less that stellar. I feel like I wasted my vote and he betrayed me and voters like me, not because he betrayed his wife, but he solicited votes knowing those votes meant absolutely nothing. But to his credit, he's had the sense to stay out of politics and out of the public forum. No TV contracts, no trying to rehabilitate his sorry self. I'll give him that, but that's about it.
Regarding what you describe as my hostility. It's not that. I'm just perplexed how voters who claim to be so moral, declaring Sarah Fluke a slut and celebrating a comment like women should control their libidos, would ever vote for the likes of Sanford or Newt G. I guess I went off topic, but it is frustrating and inconsistent with what I thought the Reps stood for. Reps make no secret of what they find morally responsible, by the way.
I agree with your categorization of sexual deviants and those who belong to that club. And I apologize for going off topic.
I can't answer why someone voted for Newt or Sanford. - I never did.
[ In Reply To ..]
I usually vote Republican, but I don't always vote along party lines. I've voted for a lot of Democratic senators and house members over the years as well as on a lot of liberal social issues. It is not always a cut and dried picture. For me, it is the person and/or the topic. Most people I know vote the same way.

Light Bulb BanDec 29, 2012Don't forget to get your 75 watt incandescent light bulbs before January 1st, when they will be removed from the shelves. We lost 100 watt bulbs in 2012, and will lose 60 and 40 watt ones in 2014. The Fed claims the new corkscrew bulbs are "more energy efficient," but that's just another lie. There is little profit margin in the incandescent bulbs, and the corkscrews are made off-shore and cost us, the consumer" a fortune. ...

I consider it to be severe because even inside my house if the curtains are open, even if the sun is not shining in (like on a rainy day) I am sitting here squinting. Sometimes my eyes are almost closed and I can just look out a little cos the light hurts my eyes and they ache.
I've tried wearing sunglasses, but they don't help. My eyes still ache, only everything is a little darker, but I still squint.

First Light Snow Of The Year - That's StickingNov 25, 2012I like the way the grayish sky contrasts with the white of the snow, and the pine trees. Shedding Light On Obama's "plan"Nov 28, 2012Never thought of this in the long term, but I can see the strategy. Anything to keep in power:
"Forget that any tax increase is bad economic policy (especially in this economy), it's also a trap. The damage the passing of this tax increase would do to Republicans with their base is the primary motivation behind what Obama and the media are up to. Raising tax rates would almost certainly suppress Republican turnout in the 2014 midterms. As a result, Democrats would make gains and possibl ...
