investigations so far have found any conclusive or direct link between Mr. Trump and the Russian government. And even the hacking into Democratic emails, F.B.I. and intelligence officials now believe, was aimed at disrupting the presidential election rather than electing Mr. Trump....... Even in a story in which they're forced to admit no ties, NYTimes finds ways to editorialize and bring in unsubstantiated accusations starting from the headline ("no clear links" -- suggesting they might be there, but the FBI just hasn't found any yet). ;

Most of this is coming from people like Reid making - innuendo, and not coming from the FBI.

Reid drops suggestions without any evidence that there's an undisclosed bombshell waiting somewhere.

The whole point is to sow doubt in the minds of low-info voters. These people are beneath contempt.

Really, just like the first lot.

I would like the FBI to question Donald - request his tax returns or other financial contracts - and THAT will show whether he is involved with Russia or not. But my goodness, demand and receive everything from Hillary and go through it with a fine tooth comb, but don't disturb businessman Donald.

What a joke. No clear links, really? Because they found a bunch of emails on a personal laptop that were neither to nor from Hillary Clinton, THAT's the big story?

Clutch onto that, make Comey the hero, but we all know what Trump is and what Hillary is.

My main problem with Trump is I cannot stand jerks. I could not, in good faith, vote for someone that I would not be able to tolerate in a room for five minutes. Having said that, it would probably go both ways, he would have no use for me either, I am an overweight middle aged lady. But at least I am pleasant and have a good sense of humor, unlike Mango Mussolini.

I see absolutely NOTHING worth ANYTHING in this man, so how he got so far in this election I am inclined to agree that people want a Molotov cocktail to destroy our govt. Had it been anyone but Trump, someone with manners, someone with a brain or attention span longer than 5 seconds, someone who was a grownup, well, maybe it would have worked.

But this guy? Please. He is terrible. He has absolutely no character and I see nothing redeemable in him at all, and I am at a loss to see why people would vote for him as a PERSON, much less as a leader in any way, shape, or form.

Comey is the one who made it issue #1 in this election - this bogus "investigation" and trying to tip the election to jerkface Trump.

Not happening anyway, but it's pretty obvious why he did it. He wants to be welcomed back in the fold after he did his job and the right wing didn't like it. It's not a great testament to his "character."

Since he has elevated this non-event to a campaign issue, he needs to prove why, and fast. He purposely did NOT investigate Trump-Russia connection because he did not want to "influence the election" - but this is just fine?

NBC poll has Hillary 47, Trump 41 and other polls have her leading also. Of course the only poll that matters is the one you mention, which by the way still has her leading. I don't hold a lot of faith in polls; what counts is election night. Many of you don't hold faith in them when Hillary is ahead but do if Trump is ahead or close. And of course all polls that show Hillary ahead are by sources that are biased.
