How many MTSOs does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Posted: Jul 9, 2013

None.  That's the MT's job -  included in the line count.

;

That doesn't make sense - nothing funny about it

Why do you feel it is necessary to be so - - pointlesslessly unpleasant?

Simply because some bit of humor is not your cup of tea?

Because this is the comedy board - you know, to laugh - the post made no sense

I come here to laugh, not to read insults. The post did not make any sense at all. If your going to post something on the comedy board it would be nice to read something that is funny (i.e. comedy board).

Just because YOU don't think it's funny doesn't mean NOBODY will think it's funny! Different strokes for different folks! Obviously some people thought MY post was funny....why else would I have gotten several likes? If you can't say something nice, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL! If you don't like my brand of humor then JUST DON'T READ IT! Sheesh!

a very humorous take on the classic light bulb joke geared toward the MT. Thumbs up!
No, I was not the one who bashed your post - If you are the OP....

I didn't "bash" your post. All I said was I didn't think it was funny. That is my opinion. I read it again to see if on a different day and time I'd think it's funny. In the early morning hours is when I'm tired and everything is funny to me. So read it again hoping to find it funny. It still is not (in my opinion). How do you include screwing in a light bulb into a line count. You don't type lightbulbs or screwing them in. How many lines do you think screwing in a lightbulb is? See, it just does not make sense. They are two totally different things. Also, what is meant by "included in the line count". That a fragmented sentence. Is that the punchline? Where's the rest of the sentence.

If other people think it's funny fine, I guess people have different tastes in jokes. I did not think it was funny. Some clarification on it would have been nice, then could understand why its supposed to be funny.

P.S. DON'T YELL AT ME! Kind of hard not to read a post if you don't open it up. I gave my opinion on a post. Per your own words, if you don't like my opinion DON'T READ IT! Sheesh.
I hate to sound like an MTSO, but... - Rose

You are the only one who requires an explanation. This makes fun of the MTSO "logic" that we owe them free labor, and it's all included in the line count.

I did have to laugh at your last sentence "If you don't like my opinion (all caps) don't read it." Advice you should try to follow.

The lightbulb joke is part of American comedy history. It probably is before your time, but it was a great comedic meme of its day.

It's just a cultural reference you are not aware of:

I thought it was a cute joke, if you like good clean humor. Apparently you just like to comment the forum so you can pick people apart. Your original objective was supposedly to express your opinion about a joke that didn't humor you and that obviously irritated you, yet you resorted to picking apart their grammar when you stated, "That a fragmented sentence." (Referencing 'included in the line count') That a fragmented sentence...where is the verb to even make this a complete sentence? This is actually the statement from the original post, "That's the MT's job - included in the line count", which happens to be a complete sentence. Also, what about the verb agreement in your statement: "You don't type lightbulbs or screwing them in." You should work on your grammar before picking someone else's apart. Sorry, but you chose to go there! It makes me remember a phrase from my high school days, 'Mean people suck!'

Light Bulb BanDec 29, 2012
Don't forget to get your 75 watt incandescent light bulbs before January 1st, when they will be removed from the shelves. We lost 100 watt bulbs in 2012, and will lose 60 and 40 watt ones in 2014. The Fed claims the new corkscrew bulbs are "more energy efficient," but that's just another lie. There is little profit margin in the incandescent bulbs, and the corkscrews are made off-shore and cost us, the consumer" a fortune. ...

MTSOs Can't Survive CommieCareAug 18, 2010
HOW can MTSOs possibly survive this? "Doctors, meanwhile, are selling their practices to local hospitals. In 2005, doctors owned more than two-thirds of all medical practices. By next year, more than 60% of physicians will be salaried employees. About a third of those will be working for hospitals, according to the American Medical Association. A review of the open job searches held by one of the country's largest physician-recruiting firms shows that nearly 50% are for jobs in hospitals, ...

I have light sensitivity that is driving me nuts.  I consider it to be severe because even inside my house if the curtains are open, even if the sun is not shining in (like on a rainy day) I am sitting here squinting.  Sometimes my eyes are almost closed and I can just look out a little cos the light hurts my eyes and they ache.  I've tried wearing sunglasses, but they don't help.  My eyes still ache, only everything is a little darker, but I still squint.  I ...

Never thought of this in the long term, but I can see the strategy. Anything to keep in power: "Forget that any tax increase is bad economic policy (especially in this economy), it's also a trap. The damage the passing of this tax increase would do to Republicans with their base is the primary motivation behind what Obama and the media are up to. Raising tax rates would almost certainly suppress Republican turnout in the 2014 midterms. As a result, Democrats would make gains and possibl ...
