Eric Cantor LOSES his primary race to TP challenger.

Posted: Jun 10, 2014

Dems will crush Dave Brat.  But on another note, looks like talking out of both side of the mouth didn't work for Cantor.

Oh, the Dem implosion makes this look like - a Sunday School picnic.

[ In Reply To ..]
Both party "establishments" are imploding because the PEOPLE of this country are getting pi$$ed off at BOTH of them.

If you're thinking of gloating about the Cantor defeat, you need to pay more attention to what's going on.

Every democrat in Brat's district will get a wakeup call from now until - november

The message will be EVERYONE should be so afraid of the TP. History has proven just how dangerous they are in every social, economic, and political sense. Our founding fathers wrote the Constitution in the spirit of compromise and everyone working together for ALL Americans not just a right-wing fringe.

Yes, Dems are afraid of the TP and in this VA campaign expect them to enumerate them and why all Americans should be afraid.

...of bringing morality back to this country. As a mainstream Republican, I see this as a good thing. If somebody would've asked me how I felt about something like this two weeks ago, I may have felt differently. But I now see that our country needs to be put on the right track morally. socially, culturally, economically, etc., as well as with regard to healthcare, jobs for Americans, closing the borders, foreign-policy, strict enforcement of entitlement policies, etc.
Morality? So you think we should institute moral laws to govern our country? - how about
[ In Reply To ..]
love thy neighbor as thyself. That would cover a lot... Republicans have a lot of work to do on that one, eh?

And what about all the moral bad doers that continue to be touted and voted for in your party? Sanford for one. Newt should be banned from all public exposure in my opinion, but I do recognize his legal rights to exist. I just change the channel.

When you talk morality, you are walking a very fine line. I hope your party chooses to go there because they will be squashed like a bug. They tried that previously and it really turned out bad for them.

It's about time that we start ousting some of these long-timers. I wouldn't be so sure that the dems will crush Brat, though - don't start counting those House seats just yet :)

Oh, no I'm not. Just that Cantor was a given and now we might have a - gift :)

Like.. B O N U S and it's always kind of interesting when things don't go as "expected," right?

Oh, it's definitely interesting - - ZvilleMT

especially when you consider that no one in a majority leader position has EVER lost their primary! It's truly something for the history books, that's for certain.

BTW, something else interesting, I heard that David Brat and his opponent Jack Trammell are both professors at Randolph-Macon college. Wonder how those meetings in the hallways are going to go now? LOL :)

I agree. Out with the old, in with the new. (sm) - Abby

I wish we could get rid of them all at once, but we can't, so like I told my son last night who thinks we have to "go along" or we will get Hickory as President, I say, yes we might. I told him to listen to Ben Carson's comments about why Hitler was able to take over. You can't just sit back. He says, but with the way the media controls things, and love Hillary, we will have 16 years of this crap. I said, it's bettern than 50+ years of Communism. The fight has to start somewhere and God willing, we WILL take back our country. Another good first step would be for Hagel to tell the truth this morning instead of falling on his sword for The Won.

Talking out of both sides of the mouth don't work for the - democrats either

[ In Reply To ..]
Just keeping it real.

In what regard? If you are keeing it real, what topic is this - about?

[ In Reply To ..]
I was referring to Cantor's inability to state where he stands on immigration reform (just in case someone hasn't been keeping up with real news).

So what specific topic are you referring to. Let's discuss!

Keeping it real meaning it happens on both sides - democrats either

[ In Reply To ..]
Yes, Cantor talks out of both sides of his mouth, but so do a lot of politicians (ALL sides). That's what I meant by keeping it real.

Wow is right! The first House majority leader - to lose a primary.

[ In Reply To ..]
I wonder what he will do now.

I think the TP is doing the Dems a lot of favors these days. The great divide of the GOP keeps widening as TP members refuse to run on the libertarian ticket. They can keep mucking up the GOP, as far as I'm concerned.

Peter King is NOT happy. Worried the TP will stop - the government from functioning.

[ In Reply To ..]

“My concern is that a lot of things are going to be dead and pushed to the side. I’m concerned that, for instance, that the Ted Cruz supporters, the Rand Paul supporters, are going to use this as an excuse to basically stop the government from functioning. I mean, thank God there’s no debt ceiling vote coming up.”

If by "functioning" he means spending our money on (sm) - TP

freebies, and raising the debt ceiling every other month, then it needs to stop functioning for awhile. JUST STOP. When you're stuck down in a hole and trying to find your way out, you don't make the hole deeper.
