Buff up on your history. Nixon was president at the time of Roe v. Wade, but it was the Supreme Court who decided the issue. You remember them--one of the three branches of government i.e. legislative, adminsitration, and judicial? or perhaps not. Regardless of who was in the White House when Roe v Wade was overturned, it is a plank of the Democratic Party to retain abortion. Which is why I will not vote Democratic.

Also, take note the Supreme Court when Nixon took office consisted of 7 justices who were appointed during the administration of JFK, a Democrat. You can make the argument that JFK was the most influential president for decades simply because 7 of the 9 justices were his appointees. But why muddy the water with facts. They support cutting funding to programs like WIC, food stamps, and other programs which generally help mothers and children. If they were really concerned with “life,” and not just the fetus, then they would aggressively commit themselves to make sure children have enough food to eat, a proper education, and a place to live. Since their concern for the fetus ends as soon as it is born, they are clearly pro-fetus.

and pro cutting all funds to help said baby and mother once it's born. Once the kid hits the ground, it and mom are ON THEIR OWN. They're pro cutting spending on education, which would improve the lives of said babies and/or mothers. They're pro discrimination against immigrants, people of color, women, gays, and those who don't share their religious views. Little wonder this Party of Ill Will Towards Others is in a steady decline. The sooner they disappear, the sooner the US can work towards becoming a respected nation again, instead of a laughing stock, which Bush sealed the deal on years ago.

I served in the military for 6 years so you could have the freedom of speech to say what you just did, and so you didn't have to go to war and fight and could be secure in your bed at night in the good Ole US of A.
