Can someone please explain to me

why the tea party is continually labelled as racist when the Congressional Black Caucus has called Allen West and Herman Cain Oreos, Uncle Tom, etc. I guess perhaps you are allowed to say offensive racial slurs if you are black because if a white person had called President Obama an Oreo because he is of mixed race, that would have been on every news channel, mentioned in every blog, and that person would have been called a racist. I'm so tired of double standards. Also, how can a group like the tea party be full of racists when Herman Cain just won the straw poll in Florida? I'm not denying there are some people who are racist in the tea party, but the more I listen to some democrats bash black republicans...I'm realizing there are a lot of racists in the Congressional Black Caucus as well.

I also saw on TV where a woman wrote an article saying that the white people who supported Obama in 2008 but now are backing away from him are racist as well even though they voted for him in 2008. Some people just live to throw out that race card though. Amazing how you cannot disagree with a black person without being racist but when a black person disagrees with another black person...they can call them any number of horribly racist names and that is okay. I've heard the N-word spoken more by black people than I have ever heard from white people.

Here is the rule - simple

It is okay for fat, white, bald guys to call other fat, white, bald guys, "fat, white, bald guys." It is NOT okay for black people to call fat, white, bald guys, "fat, white, bald guys." It is okay for blacks to call blacks whatever they want to call them. It is not okay for white people to call black men "boy" or worse. It is okay for Native Americans to call other Native Americans whatever. It is NOT okay for universities and sports teams to call the team the "Indians, the Braves, the Fighting Sioux, the Squaws, or whatever." It is not okay for men to call women broads, chicks, or worse. It should not be okay for women to call men pigs or studs or whatever.

So, if you hear someone on TV breaking the rules, turn the channel. Try live above such things and use your life to be a good example to others.

just ignore it when a group calls another group racist and then turns around and says racial slurs themselves? I don't think that is fair. All I've heard since the tea party started was they were nothing but a bunch of racist white hicks who are violent...even though there is still no evidence of violence at any tea party rally by a tea party person...but whatever. Now you have the Congressional Black Caucus, who is the first to throw the race card against any white person or the tea party, who is being racist and we are just supposed to let it go and ignore it. It isn't right when racist things are said by anyone...so why should this be ignored?

Libs say "You're a racist." You say, "No, I'm not." They say, "Yes, you are." Round and round it goes.

Should the media hold them accountable? Of course, but the media is in the bag for the libs and blatantly against the tea party (except for conservative media outlets), so good luck with that.

The best approach I can take is to consider the source and note that if the best argument they can mount is "you're a racist," then they're the ones in bad shape. Folks who can launch a CREDIBLE argument on issues will not stoop to playground name-calling.

wondering since there is a Congressional Black Caucus, is there a Congressional White Caucus and there is also a Black Chamber of Commerce in DC - is there a white one? My husband and I ride motorcycles and once on vacation we rose through Myrtle Beach and they were having "Black Biker Week." I can only imagine the uproar if there was a "White Biker Week."

Does it need explaining? There is the Country Club, the KKK, the white supremist groups. You seem to forget that there needed to be laws for black people to be freed from slavery, women to vote, etc., etc., etc. Until 1948, the Boy Scouts was a segrated organization. There always was a White Biker's Club. It just didn't have the name, I guess.
