Border Patrol agents gave eye-opening testimony on Capitol Hill last week, saying that they"face retribution" for reporting large groups of illegal immigrants.
"Management will either take them out of the field and assign them to processing detainees at the station or assign them to a fixed position in low volume areas as a punishment," border agent Chris Cabrera said before the Senate Homeland Security Committee on Tuesday.
These revelations come as the Department of Homeland Security confirms that it releasedmore than 30,000 illegal aliens onto U.S. streets last year.
John Gihon, former senior attorney with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said on "Fox and Friends Weekend" that this is a national security issue that has to stop immediately.
He explained that it's not just hardworking men and women crossing the southwest border, but drugs, weapons, victims of human trafficking and people with terrorism ties, as well.
"If our government is systematically lying about how successful they are at preventing these things, there needs to be a full investigation and someone needs to pay the price for these lies," Gihon said.
"We need more funding for border patrol, we need more agents, we need more and better technology, we need more and better training and we need it now.

Obviously, law enforcement officers, border patrol agents, and ICE agents need a president who will allow them to follow our laws and do their jobs and not face persecution.
