Get this, OP went to an GYN visit yesterday and - the doctor actually took up for him
[ In Reply To ..]I was saying would like a really good PCP and she called his name, stated her doctor. I did not expect her to put him down but she said, when else would he be able to take his calls? I said being as we only have a short period of time allowed on our visits, would have appreciated it had he said excuse me and taken the calls outside my visit. Notice in the GYN office request to turn off cell phones before your appointment. Guess same does not apply to the physicians.
My Ob-Gyn went home to do a load of - laundry while I went into labor.

My reaction would be to complain - Old Pro

2. Your time is as valuable as his. (This might come as a shock to him, but it is.)

Do any of you not get the annual tests done that your doctor advises? I am getting tired of always explaining why I won't get a mammogram, pelvic exam or colonoscopy. He gets very perturbed with me but I am a true believer that the patient has to take responsibility for their medical care or else the doctor will test you for everything under the sun, especially if you have insurance (which I do).
