I live in Michigan and the price is now a whopping 4.26 per gallon. I just can't believe how everything is going up but our wage. I keep hearing the news about the economy is turning around but we are definitely not seeing it. We are seeing just the opposite.

Good Gas Prices/editApr 12, 2011From CNN:
See? We should be happy for the rising gas prices. It's actually a GOOD thing - fewer traffic deaths! Just imagine how many lives would be saved if we had $10 per gallon gas!!
EDIT: Aww shoot - I can't get the screen capture!!
No such luck with the capture, but here's some transcript. Not only are less people going to die in traffic accidents, more of us will be walking and biking and we'll be ...

Romney Would Index SS Benefit To Prices Rather ThanSep 22, 2012Here's short explanation (if you stick to the summary at the top) of the effects of the various ways we can handle SS benefit increases. It really seems like our choice is to either
1. Accept lower and lower payments over the years, indexed to prices (Republican plan), or
2. Increase our SS tax paid with each paycheck now (7.5%+ us and 7.5%+ employer) and get benefits that keep pace with general income levels over the years, indexed to wages (the way we've been doing it).

Syria: Oil Prices Vs Wall StreetAug 29, 2013That September drop you were expecting for gasoline prices? Don't hold your breath.
Currently, gasoline averages $3.55 a gallon nationally, down from $3.63 a month ago.
Most analysts had expected a drop to about $3.40 by early fall on seasonal demand slumping following the summer driving season.
Not now. Some forecasters predict a short-term spike of up to 10 cents a gallon. Crude oil prices and gas futures are soaring on growing fears that if the U.S. military strikes at Syria for its h ...
Get Ready For Restaurants To Increase Prices. Apr 09, 2017about to come into effect, and it could sink pizza franchises nationwide.
The regulation would require restaurant chains with twenty or more locations to post nutritional information for every item on the menu and every variation of item on the menu.
Domino’s executives figured out that there are over 34 million different combinations of toppings for their pizzas. That’s a big sign -- and an expensive one. Domino’s are owned and operated by individual businesspeople, and each new si ...

Insurers Set To Raise Prices, Walk Away From ConsumersMar 07, 2010This is why we need a public option. For all of those who have been against health care reform, I hope you have a lot of money because I'm afraid we are going to need a big savings account to continue our insurance premiums. Better be getting ready because it will happen. The market concentration for health insurance is so monopolized in some areas that insurance companies are willing to raise prices and lose customers in an effort to improve their bottom line, a leading insurance broker tol ...

Oil Prices Rise On Middle East, Bernanke CommentsMar 01, 2011Yikes! It's a good thing we're drilling for oil here in the U.S.! Oh wait, never mind.
Even still, I bet the rising oil prices are Bush's fault like before when oil prices went up. Oh wait, he didn't ban off-shore drilling - never mind.
"Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke told Congress Tuesday that a prolonged rise in oil prices would hurt the U.S. economy." Oh really? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out, does it? Duh. Th ...

Another Storm May Impact The Area Nov 02, 2012Just in time for election day.
It is not out of the question that voters will deal with torrential rainfall and high winds across the Carolinas and portions of Virginia. People heading to the polls in Charleston and Columbia, S.C., Wilmington, Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C., and Norfolk, Va., may deal with the messy weather.
