Meal Planners... websites?

Posted: Mar 15, 2010

Do any of you lovely fellow MTs of mine happen to use a meal planner online where you can chose recipes for the week and it will allow you to print a shopping list?

My SIL gave me the idea of letting everyone choose a meal for each day of the month, and then she said she only shops for those items for that week.  I thought this was a good idea, but my kids are probably not the best to ask.  They just always eat everything that I put in front of them, but I personally am tired of spaghetti!  LOL

Thanks in advance.... :D

This doesn't really answer your question but just a thought...in my case I'm planning my family's meals based on what's on sale this week. I look through the local supermarket circulars and buy whatever's on sale and that's what we'll be eating this week. With the money I'm making lately that's the way it's gotta be.

I found a website called dinnerplanner.com. There is a fee of $15 for 3 months. It actually looks kind of interesting, but I'm not sure I would want to pay a fee for it. It gives you your menu with recipes and a grocery list. There are also coupons available to print.

I'm with you on getting tired of the same things all the time. At least warm weather is coming and we can cook on the grill more to change things up a bit.

I've been using e-mealz.com for a couple of months now and I've really enjoyed it. You can pick from a variety of plans. They make the menu based on what is on sale that week in the store. It has really cut down on our grocery budget.

How Roman Central Planners Destoryed Their Economy.Oct 08, 2016
passed the Law of the Twelve Tables, regulating much of commercial, social, and family life. Some of these laws were reasonable and consistent with an economy of contract and commerce; others prescribed gruesome punishments and assigned cruel powers and privileges given to some. Other regulations fixed a maximum rate of interest on loans of approximately 8 percent. The Roman government also had the habit of periodically forgiving all interest owed in the society; that is, it legally freed privat ...

Anyone Have Experience With Online Dating Websites?Nov 14, 2013
I'm sort of, kind of, maybe, possibly considering signing up with an online dating website like Christian Mingle or Plenty of Fish.  Do any of you have experience with either of these?  Divorced 6 years (from 2nd husband), I'm finally feeling ready to share my heart again with a nice man.  Since I'm 50% the reason for both divorces, I know that I'm far from perfect...but I feel like I've learned to spot a man who will end being a verbal abuser.  I hop ...

Social Networking Websites And Personal InfoAug 22, 2011
A friend and I was having a conversation last night about the personal information people put out on these social websites. She read on another friends wall that her husband was in the hospital and gave the room number, name of hospital and telephone number. She was telling me why would someone post that kind of information for all to see. She was saying you don't have to be a PI to track down these people with all the information they give out. People don't use their noggin wha ...

Meal SuggestionsFeb 03, 2010
My father-in-law is coming over this month with his family, and then next month my mother-in-law is coming over with her family. They don't come over to our house much, and I wanted to cook for them. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for company dinners that is kid-friendly. I'm not afraid of cooking, I enjoy it, but usually it is only for my husband and daughter and me. I don't cook for large groups very often. There will probably be about 6-10 people each group.  ...

My daughter and I moved in with my mom and step-dad and my mom, who is the world's best cook, doesn't want to cook dinner every night of the week, can you believe that?!?!?    I mean that's one of the reasons I was so quick to accept her invitation to move in!  Seriously, I want to help her out, but I work in the office now and so I need some ideas for quick, yummy dinners like casseroles that can be made up the night before and then just stuck in the oven when I g ...

Banning Happy Meal ToysApr 28, 2010
What do you think of this county's plan? Happy Meal toys and other promotions that come with high-calorie children's meals will soon be banned in parts of Santa Clara County unless the restaurants meet nutritional guidelines approved Tuesday by the county Board of Supervisors. "This ordinance prevents restaurants from preying on children's' love of toys" to sell high-calorie, unhealthful food, said Supervisor Ken Yeager, who sponsored the measure. "This ordinance bre ...

? About Rice, Plus A German Crockpot Meal. SmAug 04, 2013
Hi all!  First,  I have a question about rice. Has anyone ever had lavender rice?  If so could you describe the flavor of it? I'm a big basmati rice fan, but keep eying the lavender rice also, but it only comes in a rather large package and is pricey. If anyone knows what it tastes like, I would love the feedback. Now, the recipe.  It's for a complete german sauerbraten dinner and is cheap, easy to make, and is fantastic if you are a fan of german cuisine.  1 ...

Because of the crappy economy, I'm trying to budget my money better and I've decided to try to give this a try.  I work second shift and I've gotten into the habit of cooking dinner maybe three times a week and doing take out the rest of the week and I want to get out of that habit.  And I also want to take time to sit down with my kids and eat supper.  Take my dinner break and enjoy it.  But I am the least organized person!  So before I dive into this, I ...

I've Got A Finicky Eater. Anybody Have Any Good, Finicky Kid Friendly, Meal Ideas?Sep 08, 2011
She's been this way since she was a baby.  Refused to eat baby food.  I even cheated when she was a baby and put sugar in some of the vegetables, NO GO! Now she's 10 and she is tiny.  She's not like scary skinny or anything like that.  I'm short and her dad's short, so consequently she's short, but she's built more like my MIL in that she's small boned too.  So looks tiny.  She definitely can't afford to not eat and late ...
