Do you have personal space?

NO! That's nosy, disrespectful and plain rude. Maybe he's insecure and suspicious.

I don't understand? Don't you have your own account and password? - nm

I cannot say I have my personal space - sm

and no, DH does not read my emails ... nor do I read his. There are times I will tell him to check mine, or he tells me to check his (we have seperate accounts).

But DH and I have nothing to hide from the other, I don't care if he was to read mine.

I guess my personal space is my bedroom...and I prefer it when DH is in there with me! LOL

No, but I read his sometimes - Sara

I have to because he tends to forget and misses important stuff. We have the same primary email account so I can do that.

We each have our own computers - ..

but it wouldn't bother me one bit if he wanted to read my e-mails or me to read his.

If it bothers you, why not ask him to stop? - Fingers

Hubby and I do not read each other's e-mail. I would not care so much if he did, but I feel sometimes it would be an invasion of privacy to the person sending it, like my sister, daughter, or a couple of friends. Probably stuff he is not really interested in anyway.

Never, he and I each have own computers and - Knowing

I don't think any couple should ever feel that they cannot access/use each other's e-mail, cell phone, voice mail... for fear of finding that their partner is up to no good. My partner and I frequently use each other's cell phones and have a joint, as well as separate e-mail accounts.

On the other hand, my partner does not, nor do I, intentionally and purposefully go searching each other's accounts and phones looking for "something". We respect each other's privacy and trust each other.

Why not talk to him instead of letting it drive you nuts? Maybe he's just going through the retirement blues and getting antsy in his pantsies? haha! Suggest a hobby, part time job, honey-do list...

Yes, and it's ok by me. - Sharing

We have full access to each other's everything. We have nothing to hide, and it makes us much happier to know that!

I agree - nothing to hide

Privacy is overrated. I was single a long time.

No, DH respects my privacy - Mary - see message

and I respect his. Would never dream of reading his emails, nor he mine. You need to get a separate computer, and you need to get a separate email like hotmail or yahoo or many other free ones out there. My BIL and his wife share email, but there are just some things that people need private. Not that you're trying to hide anything, it's just called "personal".

Yes. He also stalked my Facebook page so I deleted him - RubySoho

[ In Reply To ..]
Deleted him as a friend on Facebook, not from my life.

I dunno why some people get insecure like that. He'd question me about every male on my friends list and any comment I made to a male or a male who made a comment to me.

It got kinda old. Especially when I found out HE had an ex-girlfriend on his Myspace friends.

I mean, fair is fair, right?

So rather than argue or debate over something as silly as FB and MS, I simply deleted him as a friend and ignore his add requests.

If he's going to be so suspicious, I'll REALLY give him something to be suspicious about, lol!

I actually get my DHs email for him as he is too lazy - sm -

[ In Reply To ..]
to get it. He does not use his email though and if he gets one in I usually end up reading it to him as he asks me to. A for regular mail, he gets bent if I open anything personal then though. Of course he has no problem with opening up anything personal of mine that comes in the mail. But as I get the mail 95% of the time it is a non-issue really. I just make a point of handing him anything I know is not junk that has his name on it (except bills, I take all them), makes him feel important for some stupid reason. Shred the rest after I open it confirming it was junk.

He does not mess with my computer as he knows it is my work computer and has never to my knowledge ever read any of my emails. If I ever email anything I don't want him to see I hide it and inform the receiver I want it kept private and from him. I have only done that a couple times ever, and if he'd seen them it would not have been the end of the world, all stuff he knew about but he is very funny about me discussing anything regarding him to others. I can only imagine it will get worse when he retires which if he got his wish was last June.....but in reality he needs to work until June 2014 so we can get a severence package from his job, he is not old enough as yet to get it, presuming they will still be offering them at that point in time. Hopefully we wil get the chance to find out!

Need Hubby AdviceNov 30, 2009
I really need some help here and this is the only place to get it fast.  My husband and I are separated.  I caught him having "affair" at work, he was paying for some lady at work's car repairs, and sabotaged my daughter's attempt to work in this lady's department, along with lots and lots of lies and secrets and covering up.  Short story, when confronted, he moved out and filed for divorce (and, of course is blaming me for the whole thing, saying I kicked him out - ...

Hubby On Night ShiftApr 22, 2010
My hubby just recently switched back to 12-hour night shifts.  Lately I have been putting a sticky note on the doorbell during the day that says, "Please do not ring doorbell until after 2 p.m."  The other day I was told that this was rude by a neighbor.  Can you believe that? If they need to get ahold of me bad enough, they can call my cell. I feel like I have to constantly protect hubby's sleep time and our family time now, not to mention be left alone to do my job.  ...

Vent About My Hubby During This Wonderful Holiday Season ... (sm)Dec 23, 2010
Every year at Christmas my hubby is able to take two weeks off, which is wonderful for him but is beginning to stink for me.  By the time his vacation is over I will be extremely resentful towards him and I hate that.  In years past he has always done everything he can to help me out while I am working, cleaning the house, wrapping presents, picking up little odd and end gifts, etc.  However, this year all he has done is lay on the couch and sleep after sleeping until 11:00 every ...

Ideas For 60th Birthday Special For HubbyJan 20, 2013
Let me give some background on this guy. He is a very shy, not wanting to have surprises, do not buy him anything stay in the background type of person. He really has no special restaurant he likes above others although we both like Carrabba's. I would like to have something a little different than our usua ...

Man Going To Jail For Reading Wife's EmailsDec 29, 2010
Did you hear about this story?  The wife left the password near the computer.  It was a shared computer.  I am sure he was not the first person to read his wife/husbands email.  That is how most people find out about affairs. I hear people on Dr. Phil talking about what they found out through emails.  I wonder if he found out his wife committed a crime and reported it if he would still be charged with a felony.   I hope this case gets thrown ...

Racist Ferguson Emails Released.Apr 04, 2015
Some of them I have seen before on right wing websites.  The concerning thing is these kinds of disgusting racist/homophobic beliefs and actions are not isolated to the police and courts in Ferguson, Mo.  Some racist emails were uncovered in SF.  I have personal contacts in the LAPD and can only imagine what is in their server! Racism has pretty much taboo over the last 50 years and kept underground, spoken in private hush hush voices.  The internet and anonymity has flushed ...
