Why newly leaked DNC emails should terrify Christians.

continue to come to light as hacked emails continue to be published online, exposing the radical left for who they really are for the whole world to see. One of the latest developments to surface are emails that show the Democratic Party was working with anti-religious freedom groups to get around religious liberty laws that protect our First Amendment right to believe what we want, worship where we want, and live out our beliefs both publicly and privately. This is truly atrocious. According to the emails, a man by the name of Mike Gehrke, vice president of a consulting firm called Benenson Strategy Group, had been in contact with the DNC communications director Luis Miranda, and deputy communications director Mark Paustenbach. According to Gehrke, his colleague Amy Levin had been involved with a group called the “Movement Advancement Project” for a couple years, with the intent to come up with messaging and “creative executions,” in order to get around religious freedom laws. The organization MAP (Movement Advancement Project) is an LBGT think tank that employs persuasion tactics like the following taken right from their website: MAP’s work helps educate and persuade public audiences (such as policymakers, allied organizations and funders, media and the American public) and helps support LGBT movement audiences (including LGBT organizations and advocates, and LGBT funders). One of the most critical freedoms we have in this country is the right to worship or not worship according to our conscience, without interference from the federal government. Religious liberty, free speech, and freedom of the press all go hand-in-hand, which is why they are covered in the First Amendment. If we should lose these critical cornerstones of liberty, our republic is destined to tumble into the abyss of history. And while the Democrats continue to try to “own” the position of being for the party of “rights” — civil rights, worker’s rights, women’s rights and definitely gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights — the newly-leaked DNC emails confirm our worst fears that they most certainly are not the party of Christian religious rights. ;
