Anyone heard of this stuff?

I just moved into a new place a couple of months ago and haven't really gotten to know any of my neighbors except for a casual wave or "hello."

This morning, one of my neighbors put some literature about a product she apparently sells on my door with a nice note to call her if I saw anything I'd like to sample.

It's some skin care line called Votre Vu, supposedly all natural/organic and imported from France.

Does anyone have any first-hand experience with this stuff and does it really work? The prices aren't horrible but I can't find much about it on the internet or any product reviews to speak of, really.

I wouldn't mind trying some samples just to get to know at least one of my neighbors but, to be quite frank, if I don't like the stuff, I don't want to have to avoid her because I don't want to order anything.

On the other hand, if it is pretty good, it might be nice to have some beauty products just a couple of doors down.

Anyway, if you'v heard of it or have ever tried it, your "review" would be appreciated, LOL!

You could ask if she has any samples. And don't be embarrassed if you don't want to purchase any. Any decent person knows that not everyone is going to purchase. If you do try a sample and you don't like it, you can be honest as to why you didn't purchase it. She would likely appreciate the feedback. Unless she's psycho-woman or something.

If you do like it but don't feel it's worth it for your budget, you could just tell her that, too. "It's not in the budget right now."

Try it and if you don't like it, then don't buy it. You can tell her why or not tell her why, but in the end, you have to know how to tell people know without feeling like it is an awkward situation.

I have many friends and family who sell the Mary Kay products and personally, I feel they are too pricey. I can buy a thing of eyeliner for a quarter of the price I can pay with Mary Kay and I tell them just that. I tell them my budget doesn't allow for me to go crazy on makeup and that's it. Not awkward, just truthful.

that I would prefer to see some research/reviews on the products. I prefer to read a lot of reviews before I buy beauty products.

Also, if you try the samples and don't like them, just tell her they aren't for you, you're looking for something more _____ or less _____. Thank her for the samples and wish her luck in her business.

Before anyone toe-toes the source, the same exact interview was reported in four other sources (at least) and its the same wording in all sources. A friend of mine just signed up to sell BeautiControl products. I'm not familiar with that line and wondered if anyone here has used or is using it. I hate shelling out money for products unless I've heard pretty decent things about them, but I'm not adverse to trying new things. TIA! ...

I have quite a bit of clutter and am considering selling on ebay, craigslist, etc. I have never done this before, either bought or sold.
