Hi all. I had posted earlier about a diaper debate. My friend who is due in May finished her baby shower registry and I saw that she wants to use gPants. I've heard of them and have practically memorized their website. I know they are available online or at Targets. Anyway, my friend only put on her list 3 gPants (one for each size) and 1 box of gCloth liners (flushable). Has anyone used gPants? My understanding is the gPant and liners are all washable/reuseable and the refills are flushable. How do they hold up after washing? Do they shrink alot? Are they user friendly? How many refills do you need per size? Are they economical compared to disposable diapers? My friend's stepmom (who is super nice) is the coupon queen and can get any brand of disposable diaper/wipe for super cheap! She is concerned that my friend will only cloth diaper for a few days, get sick of it, will be unable to do laundry all the time, and will end up switching to disposables; thus we are worried about investing in cloth. Anyway, I found 2 NB size gPants at a thrift store and snatched them up! I only bought that so far. I wanted to start buying the whole gPant family of products, but I am not sure if that is a good idea. Also, the gPant has snaps inside for the snap-in liners. Are those needed along with the gCloth liners or not? I don't want to buy unneeded items but I don't want to not get enough for her complete cloth diapering needs. She has only the 2 NB gPants I bought her, and only wants the 3 listed on her registry plus only 1 box of liners. Well 105 count will not last very long if she is changing/flushing those liners 6-8 times a day (average?) so how many would she need to last a month for example? Also, the NB size is only 8-14 pounds, so how long will that size last? Anyone with experience with gPants who can help us would be greatly appreciated. :-) TIA
