A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
Had a job interview on Friday. Really liked the manager and would love to work there. I was 1 of 7 people he interviewed for his assistant. Today, Tuesday, he is to go over his "notes" and make his decision. I am in my late 50's and not expecting to get the job. Too many "younger" people with better computer skills. I hate the thought of having to go through the whole process of interviews, etc. I have not looked for a job in over 15 years. Trying to find someplace where my skills will fit the needs of the company. Was never a very good student in high school and briefly attended a community college back in the stone age, or at least it feels like it. The thought of having to go back to school at my age and "try" to compete with much less younger people is frightening plus I do not know what field to get into. In looking in my area for jobs, pretty much all that is available is truck driver or waitress. Neither of which I want to do. This whole situation of NJA and not being able to get a full paycheck really chips away at the self confidence.
Thought this would be my last job and funny how Karma works. It may very well be my last job. HA. Careful what you wish for. Tee-hee.
thanks for listening.
