My last mammogram I had in another state. After the first mammo, a nurse told me to go to another room and wait. After a while, someone else came in and told me I needed to have another mammogram because the first one looked rather alarming (paraphrasing). So I said okay. Turns out I had several, to "be sure," and then when the bill came it was a whole lot, as they had done several mammograms. I raised a big stink and called them, asking what the @#$^ was going on, and was there anything disastrous going on and what was seen that was so terrible. The answer, "Oh that was just tissue." Huh?!!! I continued to fight it. It went to collections. I eventually moved away and I have stopped receiving bills for the mammogram(s).
