I used to go all the time - Health care dropout Posted: Sep 4th, 2019 - 8:08 am In Reply to: Yep, that is why health care is so expensive, they all want a - piece of you, whether it is legit
I was really good about going annually in the past but I've had a lot of problems finding a primary care provider who listens and takes me seriously. When I've had problems, I've been told that I'm hyperventilating, having panic attacks, etc. because they didn't want to take the time to find out what was going on. A metatarsal head fracture was misdiagnosed as a Morton's neuroma and I think it was shortly after that I stopped going altogether. My insurance plan pays for preventive care, I thought they all did under the ACA, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm in a managed care plan at work, they try to assign you to a PCP, I'm now waiting 6 months to see the doc I want as I finally decided to go in. Yes, it's horribly expensive if you need lab or x-rays, even with copays and deductibles.
