with and I resent having to pay high premiums, then be required to pay a co-pay and THEN pay the balance of what is not covered by insurance. Why the heck have insurance at all? The last time I had insurance was when I worked for Nuance years ago.
The only time I seek help is when I have a problem which has gotten out of my control; otherwise, I try to heal myself. I always prepare written chief complaint paperwork for two reasons: one so that I don't forget to mention anything and two that he doesn't forget to ask questions. Even when I do that, not every topic is addressed. I am still charged $125 for the visit. I love my doctor and he trusts my medical background, but I feel he is so rushed all the time.
As far as addressing cancer and more serious illnesses; for the most part I don't want to know. It will be one more thing that would plague my mind until the end and I would rather enjoy the second half of my life doing enjoyable things like embroidery, read, watch DVD's, and maybe even write a book. My child is an adult and has a job and now it's my turn to play. I don't want to ruin it with feeling sorry for myself or too ill to get out of bed.
