You won't get your first check until 2 months after your month of birth, so I got my first check in June. Mine comes on the third Wednesday of the month, and your birth month determines which Wednesday you'll be assigned to. Once you reach full retirement age (mine was 65), you continue to get your check on the same Wednesday of the month. It does not move to the 1st of the month. Everyone gets their checks on one of the Wednesdays now. So the poster who thinks their check will start coming on the 1st of the month at full retirement age might want to check on that. I don't think so.
