Bravo, Mr. President!

Posted: Sep 6, 2012

I could not be more proud of President Obama. Against all odds, he has done exactly what he promised to do 4 years ago.  Just imagine what can be accomplished in the next 4 years!

I am fired up and ready to go, Mr. President!

;

I love what Obama said about citizenship - What does citizenship mean to you?

[ In Reply To ..]
It sure isn't about wearing a flag pin. Back in kindergarten, I recall we were graded on "citizenship." I remember my parents laughing because I had a gold star. The explanation for this grade was "cleans up after one's self, offers to help others, respects others, is polite and says please and thank you." I guess there was a book once "Everything I Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten."

We need more good citizens.

Good citizenship is making a difference and helping others. - Obama2012

I agree that we need many more good citizens to lift the United States up and make it the very best it can be!

At this moment in history, citizenship means voting - Obama out of office.

Seriously. The time for fooling around with this inept clown is over. We have a very narrow of time when a man who has REAL executive leadership experience MIGHT be able to make a difference.

I'm not sure it isn't already too late. Only time will tell. But I do know who can do it - and I know who has not and cannot.

Republican citizenship--take away your right to vote - nm

He did great. It hit the exact right notes, - as did Biden's and Clinton's (sm)

There's no comparison between the DNC and the RNC last week in terms of energy, enthusiasm, inclusiveness and positivity. Well done, all.

biden/clinton - TJ

[ In Reply To ..]
The big difference in the DNC and RNC is the fact that there are no ethics/values/truths in the DNC. That is by far the biggest difference. As well, the crowds are totally different for the RNC. They are generally workers and don't depend on the government for their living.

Shame on you. :-( - (s/m)

I'm a Dem, and I've been a worker, and a hard one, all my life. I'm currently unemployed, having quit my MTSO a few months ago and still looking for another job, and I haven't filed for unemployment, even though several REPUBLICAN friends and relatives of mine have been encouraging me to do so!! They all say: "You paid into that....you should at least apply--all they can do is say no."

I'm offended by someone making such a generalization that there are "no ethics/values/truths" among the Democrats. I have a few close friends who are also Dems, and they are all such good people--kind, loving, hold good jobs, religious, all-around good citizens. THAT'S the generalization of Democrats I know firsthand....but even I know that NO generalization is true of either side.

This is why we're having so much trouble getting along in this country right now, IMO!!

Positivity? This is so pathetic. Look at Obamas record - There is nothing positive about it ! nm

Yeah, and these were the notes: G#-A-G#-E-G#-A-G#-E - We heard them.

[ In Reply To ..]
I didn't see any credit given to Rod Serling, though. What gives with that? Don't the Dems believe in copyright? Oh, no - of course they don't! That's a form of private property!!

Proud of the trillion dollars in debt. Proud that we lost our rating monetarily. Proud that we no longer lead in space. Proud that our military has been taken down and not supported. Proud that he is bankrupting us socially, fiscally. Proud that unemployment is sky high. Proud of the lying? I think not. The only pride you can have is that if he gets reelected you have been warned that we are headed to a complete breakdown of this country.

Excellent points - Dara

[ In Reply To ..]
That's what we've been trying to warn against all along. Everyong -- please vote in Nov.!

Obama TJ - no more obama please

Thank you for saying something. This obamaism is making me sick to my stomach. Thank you for standing up for what is right. I want our country back from these awful people.

The problem with that is (sm) - Aunt Sue

that if they are stupid enough to reelect him, we go down with them. Don't think there's much we can do about it, though. Idiots.

The man speaks very well - Trigger Happy

[ In Reply To ..]
but I'm sorry to say his words didn't make me tingle anywhere. Same old same old empty words. No specifics on anything. Just more smoke up our butts. If he really wanted everyone to have a fair chance, he would do something about teacher's unions not allowing schools to fire crappy teachers so we can get excellent teachers for all of our kids and they can get a better education. It all begins with education. As for everyone paying their fair share...I couldn't agree more. That is why those who pay no taxes at all should start having their skin in the game. Tax reform is in order. As for how we should all follow the same rules, does that include Obama himself because the last time I checked he has totally disregarded federal law regarding immigration and has bypassed congress.

My biggest HOPE is to CHANGE the man in the oval office!!! So here's to looking FORWARD to that!

obama - TJ

[ In Reply To ..]
Thank you! I am looking forward to a change in the oval office as well. If we do not change this now this country will no longer be the country we were born and raised in.

I have been a voter for many years and lived through a number of presidencies, and if President Obama is reelected, the United States will remain the country you were born and raised in...geez!!!

Give you more time to do what, Obama? The CBO (not some partisan group) predicts that if your policies continue, the nation will be $20 trillion in debt by 2016.

You're outa here, credit-card boy.

The President SaysFeb 22, 2017
Part of what he says is tax cuts will help do that.  We have seen through decades that this has not created jobs and merely put more money in the pockets of the wealthy.  We have a wage gap that is out of this world.  I understand businesses are in business to make money, but there was a time when employers shared the wealth with their employees while still making a good profit themselves, and those times seem to have disappeared.   What things could he do to ensure that the ...

Weak President?May 09, 2014
I may be all wrong here, but I'm wondering if having a weak president has led to all these scandals, e.g., IRS, NSA, F&F, Benghazi and now the VA (have I left any out?). Would the scandals have happened anyway, or did people think they could get away with stuff because this president is weak? I, for one, am becoming more and more convinced that government is too big.
