Most of the ills in the world today are the direct result of the way organized religion is practiced. If we are to survive another 1,000 years as a species, then that sort of thinking has got to go.

but it is too little too late for my family. My Non-Catholic mom had grounds for annulment but was denied by the Church. We always thought it was because her devout Catholic boyfriend who was the love of her life wanted to marry her. That never happened. He could not bear the idea of never receiving Communion again.

After they split up, she stayed alone the rest of her life. She talked to him once after that in 1982. She was looking for comfort only he knew how to give her. That was the year my gay brother decided to stay in the closet and committed suicide. After all the years between then and now when priest pedophilia scandals were exposed and meddling in the lives of parishioners continued nonstop, it's about time the Church come to terms with the needless suffering their dogma has caused.

I guess the Vatican realizes that it's quickly - losing its followers to - sm

Obamacare has missed virtually every promise made for it (not a few of which were known to be unfounded at best or outright lies at worst when they were made). My hubby just recently switched back to 12-hour night shifts. Okay, weird question, but I'm wondering if your teeth shift around after a certain age (I'm 53). The reason is this. About 4 months or so ago I had a tooth that broke in half.
