I thought it was pretty funny, actually. He definitely has a lot of passion, but I'm not sure why he felt he needed to yell at the people who obviously agreed with his message.

It feels vindicating to hear what we are feeling being expressed with the "rage" that I, and probably many others, feel at times. I am tired of hearing talking heads say the same things in the same way over and over again, meanwhile making myself sick with worry over how to pay the bills with this low VR pay and the crappy economy. Passionate speeches are very effective and Biden has the gift to really be able to connect with people. This is important when you are trying to get a message across, and I think he did that very well.

Biden is an idiot. When this millionaire cares about people enough to give more than 1.5% to charity, but can tax the rest of us through the whazoo to support the lazy bums like OWS (the 47%, not all are poor or disabled), to sit home on their behinds, THEN AND ONLY THEN he has something legit to say. Nothing extreme about a balanced bduget. For the history-challenged, a REPUBLICAN HOUSE, along with a DEMOCRATIC president (Clinton) did it. Took a lot of work, time and several arguments, but that is how bipartisanship succeeds for BOTH SIDES. BTW - Speaker of the House at that time, Newt Gingrich. You don't get it done with the back-biting, castration, insulting, arrogance, and condescension this prez BO LOVES. Shows BOs complete lack of workmanship or respect for anyone else.

I think all Americans are feeling the stress of how we are going to make ends meet. Worried that we are going to be out of work, worried that what is going on in other countries like Greece could happen here too. We started seeing the effects under Bush, but since Obama has taken over he has escalated it. More people in the country are worse off now than when Bush was president. Unemployment and foreclosures are on the rise. It's just not getting better and there is nobody to blame but the current crowd. I believe Americans would have more "hope" in them if they at least tried to make it better for Americans.

I can understand a passionate speech, but that is not what I got from Joe. His speech sounds angry and bitter, and without reason. He could have given a passionate speech without the anger issue that might have gone over better. This one just did not. He came off as bitter, angry, and sour grapes.

The thing though as I listened to his speech, in which part way through I had to close my eyes because his movements and actions were disturbing, so I closed my eyes to just listen to his words. It started off bad with untruths. Then it escalated into talking as though democrats are the only one concerned about the issues.

First, things are not starting to come back. Where does he get that. You can't just make this up. Things are getting worse. More people are losing their jobs, more jobs being shipped overseas, companies that received bailouts are going bankrupt. More people are losing their jobs. There are no shovel-ready jobs. Wall street and politicians are continuing to get rich while the rest of the country is suffering. That is not getting better. He could say the sky turned green today. It doesn't make it true. He should be talking on hard facts, not making things up thinking people are too stupid to know the truth. I think that has been the problem with Obama and Biden through the whole term. They say things and talk about things which clearly shows they think most Americans are stupid, but they are not. Things are not starting to come back. Jobs are not coming back. Even when he is saying it it doesn't look like he means it. There is no signs of hope and life in the heartland. Hope used to be a good thing. Obama and Biden have perversed that and now when they use the term hope, people roll their eyes and say, okay, he's getting ready to tell a lie. They have given hope a whole new meaning and it isn't good. When he started talking about what his mother and father believed, I think that is where he lost a lot of credibility. All families believe that. Not just democrats. It is the hopes of every American that their children will do well, not just democrats. Then when he said they "don't get who we are" I thought, oh we get who you are alright.

This just was not a sincere speech. Even when people were clapping and cheering he never did smile. These are probably the people who would vote for him and nothing...just anger bordering on coming unglued. You just don't do that. If he was passionate there would be a softer side. But the anger was pretty bad. It was like a Howard Dean moment. To angry and bitter to calm down and talk civil. I think it all boils down to the fact that they know they are not doing as well in the polls. After all if they were such great leaders they would be leading double digits, but they are not. Some polls have him 2 or 3 points ahead of Romney and other polls have them trailing behind Romney. I think the panic of the possibility of losing is setting in and its clearly showing in their speeches (angry and bitter). They can't even be truthful and have to lie in the speeches, but that feeds into the hate in the audience and Obama and Biden are good at getting the hate riled up. I think Americans are a lot smarter than Obama and Biden think they are and in the end that will be their downfall.

I always split my vote in the past (independent), but not this time...Going full force for ALL republicans. Jobs decreased under Bush and went up under Obama. Nobody is saying it is all fixed, it wont be until companies stop getting tax breaks for shipping jobs overseas and they start having a sense of country over outrageous profit by exploiting low-wage workers in other countries. But there is improvement.
