redistribute it, but after seeing Mitt's tax returns and all he gave to charity, I think Biden and Obama need to stay out of my pocket and worry about their own flawed characters. Give up some of your own money, you tightwads, and redistribute THAT!

see that most of the right wing posters on this board are not MTs. I really do wish we could have a board just for MTs to discuss political issues. I also suspect that some of the right wingers are paid posters. I could be wrong but much of the vitriol is over the top on that side.

I don't know about paid posters on the right, but I have seen waaay more over the top posts on the left. I had to laugh out loud at that comment. There are at least two lefters on here who literally jump on any right-sided post 24/7. I can't figure out how she/he/they can always be on here reading and waiting. Maybe it is group who are using the same posting initials.

I keep hearing them say the rich should pay their fair share, but nobody has come out and said how much that should be. The reason wealthy people pay less in taxes is because that is the tax they are paying on capital gains, not on employment. If you raise the tax on capital gains, that will discourage the people with money from investing in new companies that are trying to get off the ground... in a nutshell, punishing them for taking the risk.

And here's one for you... even if all the rich people were taxed 100% it would only be enough to run the government for 8 days.

The solution is not for people to pay more taxes. It's for government to learn how to make a budget with what they've got to work with. We regular folk do it all the time.... it's called living within your means.

I would rather have a businessman in the white house who knows how to start a business, how to run a business, how to fix a failing business (like the Olympics) and how to be successful. That person knows what it takes and knows what needs to be done so that all of us have a better opportunity.
