It struck me as disrespectful to the office to stand over a pretend seated President :), but considering its surrounding it was a step up from some other behaviors, and he is really getting old, so I gave him some mental points so it was a wash, changed the channel back to what I was mostly watching, and didn't think of it again until now.
What I was really interested in was that the typically extremely tightly organized convention (Republicans really get it together and pull together at these things) allowed him to just get up there and talk without knowing what he was going to say. From someone who's been checking out these things for decades (not as long as him, though), that is very unusual.

What I think is the Eastwood phenomenon arises from the fact that Romney's speech did not have a single memorable moment or new idea, so the focus-challenged public is remembering the big fat faux pas instead.

Well, my legs and ankles are mostly normal now. I think I lost 10-15 pounds and took finally four Torsemide two morning and two in afternoon to do it.
