-The nursing home can cut prices. Okay, not going to happen.

-Grandma's children could quit work, move grandma in with them, and provide health care services to her themselves. That may be the best option for most people.

-Grandma's rich children will pay for grandma's nursing home and care out of their own pockets. That is absolutely the best option for the rich.

-Grandma can go to a cheaper nursing home if she can find one.

-Grandma who has no children to help with any of the above can go to a homeless shelter. That, in fact, will happen in those cases.

super rich and cutting Medicaid. Where are the figures on this? Do you think there are enough "super rich" in Texas to make up for the shortfall? Not in this lifetime. Soooo....knowing that....in addition to taxing the super rich oto the point where they leave the state...where is the REST of the money going to come from?

Also....at present Texas has no state income tax. - Why not start one?

Seriously, I really don't get it. Why do republicans do this to older citizens? Are they inherently evil people? Why do they want to hurt the poor and elderly?

Does ANYONE on here have a Basset? If so, are they as "dumb" as mine? I have a book, "Basset Hound Survival Guide", and so far am still barely surviving.
