They're all like characters in National Lampoon's "Animal House" - Omega vs Delta?

A former fraternity member and lover of the movie "Animal House" just made the suggestion to me that this entire political situation is just like the movie, "Animal House." For those who haven't seen it, that's okay, character descriptions are below. Since at present, there are only 2 candidates for the Dem party and several for the Republicans, adjustments had to be made to include just high-profile Democratic politicians instead of candidates.

OMEGAS = Republicans/Tea Party only - the wealthy elite who imagine themselves superior and perfect.

DELTAS = Everybody else, who either doesn't fit that mold or doesn't want to; regardless, they both realize and admit they're not perfect.

Dean Wormer (Dean of the college and former Omega, endlessly trying to get the Delta expelled off campus, declaring "I really hate those guys."):

Mitch McConnell

Mayor Carmine Depasto (Mayor with mafia and CIA connections, who doesn't care about the college rivalry anymore, he just doesn't want anyone from either side to mess up his new parade):

George H. Bush

OMEGA FRATERNITY:

Greg Marmalard (Legacy fraternity president who doesn't say much, just looks good and becomes a Nixon aide):

Jeb Bush

Douglas C. Neidermeyer (Conflict-loving ROTC, hates the Deltas and just about everyone else not an Omega. He endlessly tries to find dirt on/sabotage/pin his own crimes on the Deltas. After graduation, he joins the Marines and is killed by his own platoon.):

Ted Cruz

Chip Diller (Omega ROTC pledge, who tries to convince everyone "all is well" and to remain calm during the parade chas, but gets run over by the panic in the process. After this experience, tired of all the drama, he runs off to become a Christian missionary in Africa):

Mike Huckabee

Barbara Sue "Babs" Jansen (Sorority-girl Omega groupie who stabs her sorority sister in the back to get Greg/fraternity president for herself):

Carly Fiorina.

Mandy Pepperidge (Omega Cheerleader and sorority girl who dates Greg, but sleeps with Otter from the Deltas because she is not satisfied with the relationship):

Rand Paul.

DELTA FRATERNITY:

John "Bluto" Blutarsky: (A degenerate with a 0.0 GPA, but with his own style and charisma. Becoming increasingly unhinged, now in his 7th year of college, he has a flair for the comical and dramatic, as well as creating chaos. He later becomes a US Senator):

Nancy Pelosi.

"Otter" Stratton (Charming rush president and confident womanizer who sleeps with both Omega Greg's girlfriend and the mayor's wife. Though he initial has political ambitions, he later becomes a gynecologist):

Bill Clinton

"Boon" Schoenstein: (Otter's nice-guy best friend, who has to decide between his Delta party pals and girlfriend Katy (Tipper?), who now works as a documentarian):

Al Gore

"Flounder" Dorfman (Fraternity legacy who later becomes a successful sensitivity trainer):

Hillary Clinton

Robert Hoover (Level-headed, reasonably clean-cut president of the fraternity, who desperately struggles to maintain a façade of normalcy despite his brothers crazy antics):

Harry Reid

"Stork" (Originally thought to be brain-damaged for the first 2 years, he speaks two lines in the entire film and often just stands and smiles behind Bluto and other talking heads. In the book adaptation, Stork is revealed to be independently wealthy himself as a result of several patents he holds):

Barack Obama.

"Pinto" Kroger: (Friendly guy with a 1.2 GPA, who has a habit of accidentally getting into trouble. After graduating, he becomes the editor of National Lampoon magazine):

Joe Biden

"D-Day" (Tough, pro-military biker with no grade point average, but who can either be brilliant or extraordinarily stupid, depending on the day):

Tie between John Kerry and Dianne Feinstein

Delta sympthazier, Professor Dave Jennings (Bored English professor who tries to turn his students on to left-wing politics and smoking marijuana):

Bernie Sanders.

**Some character descriptions were helped along by Wikipedia, with my own brand of offbeat lampooning. Because, you see, I don't want to be exactly like the Omega. I'm a proud Delta ;)

I can't put this book down.
