The differences between crossing the border illegally

If you cross the US border illegally you get:

1. A job.

2. A driver's license.

3. Social security card.

4. Welfare.

5. Food stamps.

6. Credit cards.

7. Subsidized rent or a loan to buy a house.

8. Free education.

9. Free health care.

10. A lobbyist in Washington.

11. Billions of dollars worth of public Documents printed in your language.

12. The right to carry your country's flag while you protest that you don't get enough respect.

If you cross the North Koren border illegally, you get 12 years hard labor.

If you cross the Iranian border illegally, you are detained indefinitely.

If you cross the Afghan border illegally, you get shot.

If you cross the Saudi Arabian border illegally, you will be jailed.

If you cross the Chinese border illegally, you may never be heard from again.

If you cross the Venezuelan border illegally, you will be branded a spy and your fate will be sealed.

If you cross the Cuban border illegally, you will be thrown into political prison to rot.

I was merely pointing out that we have always been open to immigration. Our country was founded by immigrants. All of our ancestors, minus Native Americans, are immigrants.

However, things have gotten out of hand, particularly at the Mexican border. I do not hate Mexicans and I must give them credit for wanting to seek a better opportunity for themselves and their families. But AZ, for example, is totally out of control. We need to secure that particular border to try and keep the drugs out of our country.

My point was that we shouldn't be giving so much to illegals. If they want to come here, do so legally and pay taxes. This isn't me being anti-Hispanic. Not at all...this is me being concerned for my fellow American citizens (black, white, Hispanic, etc.) who need protection in areas close to the border. People are being killed by illegals. Harmful drugs are entering our country via illegals. This is a problem. If these illegals were the same race as I am, I'd feel the same way. If you are doing something illegal, you are committing a crime.

The violence, kidnapping, and drugs are getting way out of hand in AZ and other border states. That right there is enough of a fact that we need to secure our border.

AZ isn't trying to discriminate against Hispanics...it is just trying to protect their citizens from further violence coming across our border illegally and that includes protecting the Latinos that are here legally. I just don't understand why some people don't get that.

I live in a border state and this has absolutely NOTHING to do with being racist. Some of my best friends are Mexicans but they are here legally. Other countries uphold their immmigration laws but the US is too afraid to do the right thing and it is going to cost the lives of American citizens. Those who live far from the border states are unconcerned. They think, since it doesn't affect them, they can afford to play the "good, kind-hearted, understanding US citizen. Arizona did what it had to do. I hope other states follow suit since this administration is only interested in garnering votes from the illegals.

Personally, I agree something needs to be done. However, this garbage about being able to approach anyone who "looks" like they may be an illegal and requesting papers smacks a bit of Nazi Germany and is just racist. They should be enforcing the laws already in place! This new law is racist, tragic and brings to meaning to the term "slippery slope."

they should stop giving them driver's licenses until they are legal, then when/if they get stopped they would have to produce their license just as any other citizen and be penalized the same as any other citizen if they are legal. There wouldn't have to be any racial profiling if the laws were upheld in the first place. They have to have papers for a reason--to prove their legality--and asking for them in certain circumstances would not be out of line. I get asked for my driver's license, SS card and birth certificate for lots of reasons and I was born here. Why should it be any different for any one else?

with the Big O because he had not done anything about immigration reform. The bill in AZ has given him a chance to do something in favor of the Latinos and get back in their good graces. This was just a way for Obama to get their approval again since he does need their vote in 2012 and crats need their votes come Nov. The bill in AZ has actually given Obama an excuse to stand up for Latinos without actually having done any reform of immigration. This pretty gave him an easy out for now.

the liberal media and actually read the bill. They cannot just stop someone because they look Mexican. If a person is acting in a suspicious manner, for example...if a police officer tries to pull someone over and that person takes off and doesn't stop....that is a pretty good indication that either that person is illegal, has drugs in the car and/or is smuggling other illegals into the country. Then they would have the right to ask for papers. The common misconception by liberals is that people will be stopped even when they are walking on the sidewalk doing nothing because they are Hispanic looking. This is not the case at all. So please....read up on this before you just listen to the lame stream media on this one.

I mean you have to approach and ask to see papers to find out if they are legal or not. I mean, chances are when you see a Mexican that can't speak English they are illegal because you have to take English classes to get citizenship. It has gotten so out of hand that they have to take that approach.

These protestors have no clue what it's like. They just want to play the part of "caring citizen." I live close to the border, 40 miles away and the problems with the illegals are overwhelming to deal with. I wish my state would take a stand like Arizona did, but that's very doubtful with our governor. :(

to get a driver's license. But then, I also think you should be able to speak English in order to get one, too. This is an English-speaking nation, and all the road signs are in English.

Also, if they would crack down more and impose heavier fines on businesses and individuals employing illegals, that would put an end to a lot of it, also.

I have no problem with people wanting to come here to find a better life, but I believe you should at least learn the language.

For those truly sincere in wanting to come to this country for all the right reasons, it takes years to gain citizenship.

For the criminals, they are wanted in Mexico, so they flee somewhere else and of course, since most are drug smuggling, they of course do not want anyone to know who they are.... the gangs that come in here from down there all throughout central and south america are taking over california alone not to mention branching out in other states, including ours. The black gangs in California look like babies compared to the El Salvador gangs coming in here.

La Raza, whom our government has sickeningly embrace as an organizatio to reduce poverty and discrmination is not that and many know it. Of course, you have the La Raza Unida, which is supposed to be a third political party in the U.S. (ever hear of them?). They both claim to not have any other intentions other than the above but Mexicans know different. They claim to be a non-hate group that wants to end hate in all races toward them but THEIR racist beliefs towards us are a different story. They believe STRONGLY they have the right to reconquer the entire western USA and try to influence others to believe ANY anti-illegal immigrant movements are simply hate towards ALL hispanics. Of course, their manifesto is nothing but hate towards all U.S. citzens, so they need to take a look at their hate first...but you won't hear those spoken of in this country.

No, we bring them into our government/country as a "harmless" council/organization of hispanics FOR hispanics but research and hispanics themselves who know better will tell you exactly what they are doing. Most won't speak out against them openly because they would be dead the next day.

I know first hand because my dad let a woman and man and baby put a camper on his land (unfortunately I live on this land also), and I see first hand what they get by with. The lady works at a Mexican restaurant. The man stays home because he's too sorry to go to work. He would rather use the excuse he has to take care of the baby. They both have driver's licenses from other states (because you have to prove your a US citizen in this state). She has a SS card (I saw it). Don't ask how. She admittingly said she was illegal. They get WICK for the baby. She has a bank acct. Someone gave them the camper they live in. They are out to get everything for free. She got Medicaid in a bordering state when she was pregnant.

When does it end? She was deported years ago and came right back. The US needs to enforce immigration. It is insane. They have the nerve to live on my dad's land and are rude to me and my family. They put signs on their camper saying things like you reap what you sew, etc. They said that because they were mad because my husband cut them off the water cause they refused to pay for it. But we are wrong. We are just supposed to pay for their water, I guess? Like I owe them something. They were given a notice of eviction off the property a week ago, so they have a few more weeks and then the law will serve them papers to get off the property. They think America owes them something. I don't owe them a d*** thing!
