Though they were momentarily beaten back in 2010 by their more extreme factions, make no mistake. Those guys are survivors, and will not give a second thought to dropping the losers among their ranks like hot potatoes, sooner rather than later. This strategy will become a bit more apparent once lame-duck is a done deal and newly elected candidates arrive on the scene, and even more so the closer we get to 2014.
