Stevens emails show 'total disconnect' between security needs in Benghazi, Washington

The truth is finally coming out. Blocking of Hillary's emails, and thehandling of Ambassador Stevens' request for more security by ignoring his requests is more than despicable. Who is responsible? Hillary, of course. She was the head of the State Dept. She was totally incompetent as SOS and will be worse than totally incompetent as the president. I hope people will wake up soon and realize she only wants the job because she can siphon off more dollars for her benefit, just like the $6 billion missing from the State Dept.

On another note, Bernie Sanders says we have more people in prison than any other country.....Gee, could it be because we have the largest POPULATION than any other country???? They don't tell you that, do they? Very, very sly of him to forget that little point.

Trey Goudy is an honest man. I have no doubt he is doing what he says he is doing, finding out the truth about all who were lost, especially our ambassador.

What were we doing there in the first place. That is what is the question.

As flippant as Mrs. Clinton was about the whole thing and hurtful to the families with her crass remarks, I'd say she deserves jail for life with no perks, no special favors, no nothing. Let her find out how it is to be poor as well as incarcerated.

Read up on his dedication. He knew the risks, as all ambassadors in hot spots do. He was doing good work and the embassy was attacked as many had been before.

Sanders is right that we have more people in prison than other countries. You are incorrect as to the reasoning. We do not have the "largest POPULATION" of any country. US has only 5% of the world's population but nearly 25% of the world's prisoners. China is much more populous than the US (US has 320,000,000, China has 1.3 BILLION and India at 1.1 BILLION. Facts are scary things and sometimes, indeed, truth hurts.

In a bombshell revelation, the Central Intelligence Agency reached out to Democrats serving on the Select Committee on Benghazi on Saturday to confirm that Chairman Trey Gowdy had altered documents provided to the committee by Hillary Clinton.

Cummings Letter On Gowdy's Accusation: "You Failed To Check Your Facts Before You Made It, And The CIA Has Now Informed The Select Committee That You Were Wrong." In an October 18 letter to Gowdy, Cummings wrote that Gowdy's claim was wrong and the CIA had informed the committee that the information in Blumenthal's email was not classified:

On October 7, 2015, you sent me a 13-page letter making a grave new accusation against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Specifically, you accused her of compromising national security and endangering lives.

The problem with your accusation--as with so many others during this investigation--is that you failed to check your facts before you made it, and the CIA has now informed the Select Committee that you were wrong. I believe your accusations were irresponsible, and I believe you owe the Secretary an immediate apology.

To further inflate your claim, you placed your own redactions over the name of the individual with the words, "redacted due to sources and methods." To be clear, these redactions were not made, and these words were not added, by any agency of the federal government responsible for enforcing classification guidelines.

Predictably, commentators began repeating your accusations in even more extreme terms, suggesting in headlines for example that "Clinton Burns CIA Libya Contact."

Contrary to your claims, the CIA yesterday informed both the Republican and Democratic staffs of the Select Committee that they do not consider the information you highlighted in your letter to be classified. Specifically, the CIA confirmed that "the State Department consulted with the CIA on this production, the CIA reviewed these documents, and the CIA made no redactions to protect classified information."

Sorry this is such a long answer. I even went to the Clinton emails to look for the "redacted" CIA name but didn't get through all the emails in the short time I had.

I will give you credit for your research on the prison stats. I did not research because it was only my opinion and thoughts of Bernie’s statement. Thinking about it later, I did realize that China and India probably did have a higher population than the U.S. but by that time I was shut down for the day so didn’t bother to update my post. At least you posted a link to verify your info (not like most who post their opinions without verification and not facts) 

BUT, the link you posted is totally inaccurate in the statement that the CIA didn’t consider the information highlighted in the letter to be classified. That’s evidently a falsehood because the CIA regards their employees AS classified. Remember the stink over the outing of Plame? The CIA was outraged and she had to leave that branch for fear of her life. Remember that? Elijah Cummings is trying to protect Clinton because, just as in the IRS investigation, he’s afraid the Committee will find out that he also had some involvement in the Benghazi cover up.

Unfortunately, you did not post a link for your statements on the Cummings letter bu it was easy to find, and they were all from progressive sites, which rarely gives the whole story. As usual, the talking points from the liberal progressive sites still think everyone will just take their word for stuff (and those who don’t go any further than those sites ARE just taking their word as truth for inaccurate stories). I certainly would not believe or trust a site written BY the Dems or Republicans government-based site without more research, or blogs from most sites. Would you trust a Republican site unconditionally for facts? I don’t think so.

Here is more cited article on what you posted and note the quotation marks in the article. Your copy and paste has limited quotes from Cummings so I take the nonquoted material as suspect of stretched truth.

Did you hear about this story? The wife left the password near the computer. It was a shared computer. I am sure he was not the first person to read his wife/husbands email. That is how most people find out about affairs. I hear people on Dr. Phil talking about what they found out through emails.
