Some interesting facts

B. A. from Brigham Young University, J. D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University

After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar exam, but never worked as an attorney.

In 1984, he co-founded Bain Capital a private equity investment firm, one of the largest such firms in the United States.

He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State ofMassachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.

Bain Capital, starting with one small office supply store in Massachusetts, turned it into Staples; now over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people.

He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years.

He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.

Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country but has given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than most men.

And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income….

Just for comparison purposes, Obama gave 1% and Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%.

Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:

He will show us his high school and college transcripts.

He will show us his social security card.

He will show us his law degree.

He will show us his draft notice.

He will show us his medical records.

Mitt Romney’s background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and an excellent citizen for President of the United States.

You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans  could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won’t desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or practice fiscal irresponsibility.

I know he has the ability to turn around this financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into. We won’t like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney’s background can do it.

But, on the minus side, he never was a “Community Organizer”, never took drugs or smoked pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US.

two total nutjobs (Bachman and Caine), a W wannabe (Perry), a complete sleazebag has been (Gingrich) a way too far right christofascist (Santorum), before they finally settled on Mitt. For whatever reason people in his own party don't seem to like him much. Was he really your first choice?

Oh that's an easy one - smSM

The same way the democrats weeded through two total nut jobs (Biden and Clinton), a complete sleezebag (Edwards), a wannabe Billy boy (Richardson), a housing market destroyer (Dodd), a wannabe Kerry (Vilsach), a Romulin (Kucinich, although have to say I voted for him because I like him even if he believes in UFOs), and others before they had to settle with Obama. Also, for whatever reason people in his own party don't seem to like him much and have come out and said his policies are wrong for America.

Never said Romney was my first choice. Actually Kucinich was my first choice, though he got pushed away. As for all the republicans any one of them would be a better choice over what we got stuck with. You also forgot that Paul was another candidate.

The fact of the matter is Romney and Obama are the ones running. I'm picking the best person for the job. That would be Romney. It's the only hope our country has.

Excellent post. -

military, I'd LOVE to see his "draft notice."

Like so many rich kids from "privilege" who love to start wars, he dodged the draft.

Whatta guy!

Bill Clinton did all those things and ALSO"" - participated in anti-American demonstrations

Got himself impeached, sent combat troops to the ME while Billy Boy was being serviced with a BJ. Also admitted to Monica giving him a BJ while speaking with foreign leaders on the phone......"whatta guy" indeed.

P.S. Where's Obama's military service record?? Buried with his dog and birth certificate??

Problem when you start slinging S**T into fan hoping to get it on repubs....the stink blows back on the Dems and Libs, right where it belongs.

....that he WILL show us and yet still WON'T show us the ones that "the little people" truly want to see: His tax returns from years beyond those in which he knew he was going to be running for president. (But don't you dare ask or question his trustworthiness; they've already shown "you people" everything they're going to show, and that's that!) The two years he's shown are certainly SOMEthing, but they don't tell the whole story. Voters really want to know they're voting for someone who can at least SOMEWHAT relate to half of their fellow citizens. These things may not matter to YOU (speaking of the collective "you," who support Romney....not any one poster here), but YOU are not the whole of this society.

What about ALL the records Obama refuses to show the "little" - people and refuses to tell the

the whole story. Why no outrage over your guy that has lied ENDLESSLY about his past, his records, his grades, his income, his politics, his birthplace (says he's born in kenya, then says not), says he is a foreign aide student/then Obama says he's not, Libya, Egypt, and y'all give Obama a big fat pass.

Example below:

"(But don't you dare ask or question:" Obama's trustworthiness or risk being called a racits. They've already shown "you people" everything they're going to show, and that's that!) The 4 Obama has CHOSEN what he will show "are certainly SOMEthing, but they don't tell the whole story. Voters really want to know they're voting for someone who can at least SOMEWHAT relate to half of their fellow citizens".

"These things may not matter to YOU (speaking of the collective "you," who support" Obama...."not any one poster here), but YOU are not the whole of this society."

What's good for Romney should be equally good for the Liar-in-Chief dontcha think???

See how easy your POV fits the Liar in Chief.

In answer to your question.... - sm

....to be honest, no I don't see how my comments fit against Obama. They actually don't seem to fit at all.

I guess rather try to give an answer to a point made against Romney, it's easier to avoid it all together by saying something akin to: "I am rubber; you are glue; whatever you say bounces off me and sticks on you."

Good luck at the polls with that kind of defense of your candidate!

Just saw the list you posted thurs of wealthiest politicians. I have no quarrel with the opinion that some politicians enrich themselves in office.  My concern is with the SuperPACs being unleashed in this election.  SuperPACs are making ads that are influencing elections.  Newt was doing well until Mitt's SuperPAC spent millions on ads. His popularity then dropped rapidly.  The SuperPACs are backed by big money whose goal is to get what THEY want, not what is good ...

Obama's mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a member of the Communist party USA #47544 who wrote pro-Soviet propaganda (lies) for newspaper columns.
