from a Fox news interview.

;

Fake news - This is what weve been saying - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
This is not a real news story. It is fake news.

And people think Fox News is fake news???? At least their news stories are true.

You are - correct

[ In Reply To ..]
I apologize for posting this. I was caught by this one. Actually, this is what WE have been saying about fake news. That is why I was surprised it said it was Fox news interview and I didn't catch it was fake. We all know Fox news is all about Trump. Again, I do apologize to both sides.

What exactly were you caught by? It WAS a - Fox News interview with Chris Wallace

[ In Reply To ..]
Please don't apologize unnecessarily.

This interview did occur and Trump was in fact questioned about conflict of interest by Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday.

Trump is refusing to relinquish his ownership of his business and the line between who's running his company and who is running the country seems to be vague - he is trying to pull off his kids doing both the business and the govt with him.

We still have absolutely no information of his financial ties to Russia, what his financial status is, when he says he sold all his stock there is no proof, etc. I guess we never will because Trump doesn't want to tell us so that's that. Nice way to run a country, right?
His refusal to cut ties to his businesses - Hail Caesar
[ In Reply To ..]
is an impeachable offense. We can only hope except that Mike Pence is not much better.
I am QUITE SURE Trump has top lawyers to advise him - and he is not going to be impeached
[ In Reply To ..]
Face facts. This is a billionaire who came from nowhere in politics and won the presidency against career politicians. Trump did not get to this point in his life by being stupid. Only illogical and/or ignorant anti-Trumpsters dismiss the fact that Trump hires top-of-the-line advisors, CPAs and lawyers, the best money can buy.

As far as the rest of the post? "We can only hope except that Mike Pence is not much better." What does that even mean????
If he doesn't believe his own intelligence community - Burt The Cat
[ In Reply To ..]
what makes you think he will listen to his lawyers? He's a guy who thinks he's smarter than everyone else.
I'm sure he knows - more than his lawyers
[ In Reply To ..]
just like he knows more than the generals about ISIS and the intelligence community. Don't forget, he's bigly smart.
I'm sure Trump LEARNS from his lawyers - and others which does make him smart.
[ In Reply To ..]
I think it is ignorant to undermine him and underestimate him.

Hillary lost. Focus on a candidate who can win. Give up the Trump bashing. It gets you absolutely nowhere. Just appears to be a bunch of crybabies and sore losers who can't step into the future to focus on a candidate who can win against Trump next election.
I don't think it is us who are - underestimating him
[ In Reply To ..]
We know exactly what he is capable of and it isn't good for America.
What do you know about Trump? Do you know him? - He built an empire, is a billionaire
[ In Reply To ..]
and has become president of US. What part of that is bad example for US.

Poppycock, sour grapes and manure is all liberals have to offer.
I know all I need to - know about Trump
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm not going to waste my time going through all of it because it will merely be dismissed as poppycock, sour grapes, manure and I'll be called a liberal cry baby. I will merely say his campaign tactics, cabinet choices, lack of knowledge of foreign policy, bullying, dictator-like behavior are very alarming to much of the country, including members of his own party's representatives in Washington DC and other states.
So your fondest wish is for Trump to fail - so you can say I told you so?
[ In Reply To ..]
This mentality tells me a lot about Hillary supporters. The need to be right at any cost, just like Hillary. And that is why Hillary lost and the Democrat candidates lost big time across the board. And this is why they will lose the next presidential election. Out of touch, mean, bitter, living in the past.
I think Trump is a success because he listens - to advisors, experts in their field
[ In Reply To ..]
I am QUITE SURE Trump did not get to where he is by not listening to advisors he knows and trusts. I am QUITE SURE if the "intelligence community" offered proof of Russia tampering with the election Trump would accept that. So far I am a skeptic as well because all I have heard are from "anonymous sources" that Russia had a part in the election.

To me, this sounds like another excuse put out by Democrats who failed to get Hillary elected to save their incompetent azzes. First it is Comey, then it is a recount, then it is fake news and now it's the Russians.

Love to see the desperation in the Democrats. If they can't face facts, they are bound to repeat their losing history.
He got where he is - by being a snake
[ In Reply To ..]
It is also naive to think that Trump would accept proof from the intelligence community since he knows more than them.

Stop blaming the democrats when the republicans started the investigation.
You seem to know a lot about snakes and Trump - Have you studied them long?
[ In Reply To ..]
Or just since Hillary lost the election to Trump.

I am not blaming the Democrats for the investigation. I am blaming Democrats for the "anonymous source" that said Russian hackers made Hillary lose the election. Is it Russian hackers or James Comey or fraudulent counts in states Trump won or fake news stories. LOL. What next? Space aliens excuse?
I've not studied Trump - I just know him from
[ In Reply To ..]
his years of being a pompous idiot who insults women and has shady business dealings and doesn't pay his people. This was stuff from many years ago and he hasn't changed.
It means - Hail Caesar
[ In Reply To ..]
that if Trump were removed from office, Mike Pence would be president - unless he too were impeached. Then he could spend his time converting gays.
Garbage in, garbage out. - Everyone is the enemy except Hillary
[ In Reply To ..]
She is one of the most corrupt bribed politicians ever.

And you want to defend her?
He is relinqishing his business the same way other - Truthhurts

presidents do.

His kids are NOT going to be in government positions. They are on a transistion team ONLY.

They are supposedly going to run the businesses when Trump is sworn in. In fact, they have already been running the businesses for quite a few years and they seem to know what they're doing.

Financial ties to Russia and Putin are NONE, NADA, ZERO How hard is it to look the information up? I didn't hear that he sold all his stock. Why would he? Obama didn't sell his stocks when he became president.

He has no ties to Putin nor does he have any businesses in Russia. That's like saying Hillary has ties to Russia and Putin because of the reset button.

BTW, Obama failed to mention his blind trust was being held in an offshore account. Was there an uproar over that? Nope.

This is absolutely NOT fake news - it is a true website and story

[ In Reply To ..]
Think Progress is a reputable blog site which the right have a problem with because of connections to George Soros. Doesn't mean it's "fake." There are certain websites that are demonstrably "fake" and/or satire, but this is not one of them.

I read the article. Absolutely nothing fake about it.

The violation of the constitution para is this:
"But that arrangement would put Trump in violation of Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution, which bars office holders from accepting “any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.” Foreign governments are already booking events at Trump’s new D.C. hotel — a clear example of a foreign state providing Trump with an emolument (“a salary, fee, or profit from employment or office”) that could be intended to curry favor with the soon-to-be-president."

Why do you think all his lawyers are working 24/7 to figure out a way around it?

Honestly.

There are a number of lists going around and guidelines as to what is fake news and what to avoid clicking on. Personally, as a liberal I have found anything with bipartisanreport on it suspect, so don't click on that. As far as other ridiculous garbage I have seen, much comes from naturalnews.

Lots of times if the link has a kind of generic name or a .co at the end of it that means it is fake. But I think more importantly sometimes totally reputable sites have somewhat fuzzy news on their sites, so I go on an article by article basis.

We have been urged to subscribe to newspapers but no thank you, they are now using advertising dollars much more than subscriber dollars to form their slanted and biased news, and they're the ones (along with the MSM dummies) who got us President Trump. And you know the advertisers only care about making money, not about truth.

The point is, right or left is not the question, it is true or false. And truth does matter. I wish there would be a simple law that says if you call yourself news you cannot put out lies or you will be fined and if most of your output is false you will be put out of business or be forced to call yourself something else than news. It's a simple principle. You lie, you are not news, you are an entertainment or commentary site.

So if I ever have any discretionary income again (doubt it, in this profession) I would toss it to my favorite podcast (The Professional Left if any lefties out there want a good one, husband and wife broadcasting from the midwest) or to support an individual candidate I want elected.

I apologized - in the wrong way

[ In Reply To ..]
When I saw the "this is fake news comment" I went back and realized it wasn't actually Fox news, which is why I originally posted it and commented that this was coming from Fox news. I should have apologized for leading people to believe this was a Fox News story.

I do feel a lot of fear regarding Trumps reign and much of it does come from the stuff that he will not share with the people, such as his business dealings, his tax returns and conflicts of interest. He keeps pointing out that he will divide himself from his business and always has to throw in, "even if I don't have to". Yet I am not seeing having his children take care of his business as dividing himself from it. I also don't consider still being involved with the Apprentice as dividing himself from his business. I do feel he will use his business interest world wide to his advantage and not necessarily to the advantage of America.

His Cabinet choices are also horrifying. I love my country and planet. I support job growth and feel his choices are a slap in the face for people who care about the economy, planet, jobs and national security. Hearing people say he is making excellent choices are just as scary.

Yes, Think Progress IS fake news. They are so hateful - they spew anything and run with it before

[ In Reply To ..]
Getting any fact. They are not trustworthy (unless you like to hate the right, then you want to believe it's real even though it is not).

Again, Think Progress? No need to say anymore.
Can you cite any independent article agreeing - with your supposition?
[ In Reply To ..]
And I don't mean infowars or worldnewsdaily, which are proven to be fake news.

Think Progress may disagree with your ideology but they are NOT fake. I think the right wing sites are hateful too, but I don't call them fake.

Think Progress is George Soros's baby - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
and one of the most progressive hate sites EVER. They hate any democratic process, especially if it's favorable to Republicans.

Hillary got over $7 million from Soros for her campaign so you know Soros is livid.
Soros is a businessman - just like Trump
[ In Reply To ..]
In fact, they have done lots of business together and Trump had no problem taking his money.

From the link below from the Daily Beast (not fake news):

"...Trump has shown little interest in bashing his old lender.

A search of tweets from the mogul mentioning Soros turns up zero results. And Trump even once encouraged conservatives to lay off the billionaire.

“Oh, forget Soros, leave him alone, he’s got enough problems,” Trump said at a 2011 Tea Party rally when one attendee yelled the billionaire’s name at him.

“He goes, ‘What about Soros!’” Trump continued. “Let’s talk about somebody else.”

Glenn Beck highlighted the exchange on his radio show and criticized Trump for his glibness.

Trump even nabbed a Team Soros alum for his finance team. His national finance chairman, Steven Mnuchin, has worked for the Soros-backed SFM Capital Management and for Soros Fund Management LLC, as the Center for Public Integrity noted in a report.

Soros, on the other hand, has not been as gracious. In January of this year, he said Trump was “doing the work of ISIS.”

While their “work” has diverged in recent years, it wasn’t too long ago the two even were politically like-minded. After all, in 2005, they both ponied up to help fund the re-election bid of then-Sen. Hillary Clinton."

Seriously? LOL - anon
