So how's that Middle East "A" policy workin' for ya

Posted: Sep 13, 2012

About 2 minutes after taking office, Obama made one thing perfectly clear.  He was going to apologize to the world for the awful horribleness of the United States freeing millions of people and never taking an inch of territory, he was going to appease some pretty gruesome people in the Middle East and never confront them squarely with their behavior, and he was going to abandon Israel to its fate.

One thing that has always somewhat limited the President's use of the "bully pulpit" of his office to campaign has been that he actually had to do some work of the presidency while campaigning.  That is, he might actually have to report for duty now and then.

Not this guy.  He "doesn't have time" to meet with one of our major allies, but he has time for Letterman, to sip suds in bars like a "regular guy", and to cavort with movie stars.  He "doesn't have time" to address the developments in the Middle East properly or thoughtfully, but he has time for fund-raisers and campaign junkets.

Wutta ****.  Wutta miserable, lousy **** of a president.

;

Impossible to believe anyone of ANY party could - possibly vote to reelect this L O S E R.

No message. The ones who need it aren't answering their phone.

Returning to the point (nice try, libs!). It ain't workin' - very well for him. No sirree.

All those "friends" he thought he was making in the Muslim world while he was kicking Israel in the face?

Ummm...not so much, I guess.

Judging from President Morsi's - statement today,

[ In Reply To ..]
condemning the attacks and vowing to protect foreign embassies, I'd say the diplomacy between him and Obama is doing better than expected. Morsi made his statement after having conversations with President Obama about the evolving crisis. His comments present considerable political risk for him, considering the protests are ongoing, and the identity of the parties behind them are still unknown. Whether this is a spontaneous anti-US grass roots uprising, an orchestration by his own opponents or from outside extremist organizations is anybody's guess.

Morsi is a new leader presiding over a revolution-shattered population who has spent the last 2 months assembling a government, cabinet and has just now begun to face the aftermath of the Arab Spring uprising in his efforts to consolidate a fledgling democracy. An international crisis and loss of aid from past reliable allies is the very last thing he needs, and apparently it didn't take long for that reality to sink in.
Middle Eastern officials Egypt's condemnations - of the embassy attacks are
[ In Reply To ..]
Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Libya, Israel, Sudan and Tunisia. No surprise, many more have joined in condemning the reprehensible film, its producers and the motives behind it.

Despite HC's statements this morning regarding freedom of speech, IMO EVERYONE who had a direct role in funding and producing that slimy piece of garbage should be charged with incitement under federal AND international law, provisions of which fall under International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, signed onto and ratified by the US....and prosecuted to its fullest extent. They are every bit as culpable in the embassy deaths as the mobs who are reacting to their masterful hate statement.

Do you (and others on here) realize how offensive it is to use - the term "****?"

[ In Reply To ..]
If offensive is what you're going for, good job. If not, you might want to look into that a little bit more before you fling it around. FYI... Many folks see terms like this and just tune out anything else being said, as motive becomes painfully obvious and discredits everything else.

Thanks.

Yes, they want to be offensive. They'd upgrade to uncoded - obscenities the instant they could--if only.NM

If it is offensive to use terms that express disdain *without* obescenity - then the offense is in the mind of the beholder.

[ In Reply To ..]
I seriously doubt that anyone who objects to the word "****" would care for any others that convey a similar degree of disapproval.

As for "no-code obscenities", when did that category of words come into existence (and which Central Planning Committee decides what's on the list)??

*** do not get to decide what constitutes an obscenity, or else I will claim the right to tell *** about some things that are far more obscene than any word you can think of...starting with the Obama presidency.

Do you (and others on here) know how offensive it is that - we have a president to whom it applies?

From the Online Dictionary:

mutt
n. Informal
1. A mongrel dog. (Irrelevant, which should be obvious.)

2. A stupid person; a dolt. (Relevant, equally obviously.)

I need to see your Word Police badge number, please. - And you have to read me my rights.

[ In Reply To ..]
Let's do this properly, now. If you don't read me my rights, I'll skate right out of court on you!

Grow up. **** is a pretty well known slur for people of - mixed race.

[ In Reply To ..]
And I think you know it.

However, I gave the benefit of the doubt to the OP and suggested that they may want to investigate it a little more just in case they weren't trying to compare a mixed race person (in this case the president) to a dog of multiple breeds.

When terms like this are flung around, many readers will pretty much discount whatever else is being said since it's most likely motivated by racism. I know I tune out when I see this term as well as others. Again, if this was not the case here, the OP can avoid using it in the future so people will be willing to pay attention to what they're saying.

I'm not being the word police here... the OP has the right to use it if they want, and I have the right to say something about it. Again, grow up.
What utter nonsense. - nm

I am so sick of people seeing "racism" everywhere and anywhere. The term "mutt" has been used to describe a L O S E R for decades.

A lot better than Romney's seem to be for him - and his horrified party

who have been refusing to defend him and are running as far away from his blunders as their disclaimers can carry them.

Traded Taliban Leaders Free To Roam In Middle East?Jun 03, 2014
President Obama's claim Tuesday that the U.S. would "be keeping eyes" on five hardened Taliban leaders traded for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's freedom was immediately challenged by a Middle East official quoted as saying they'd actually be allowed to move freely -- and even "go back to Afghanistan if they want to." The source, identified as a senior Gulf official, reportedly told Reuters that the five Taliban members would not be treated like prisoners while staying in Qatar, where th ...

Putin Steam Rolls Over The Middle East While Obama Spouts Platitudes (sm)Oct 01, 2015
Meanwhile, “chanting ‘Death to America’ does not create jobs,” Obama continued, apparently unaware that no one who spends their time chanting “Death to America,” painting intricate murals of a skull-faced, razor-clawed Lady Liberty, or enthusiastically burning effigies actually cares about working their way up the career ladder. Now that I think about it, you know what else doesn’t create jobs? Bombing Syria! Quick, somebody tell Vladimir Putin. What on ...

Just heard New York and in the Eastern Coast may get 20-30 inches of snow. They have blizzard warnings out and the mayor of NY has warned people to prepare and to not expect this to be like other storms. We are having snow and it is getting colder here, but we are maybe to have 2-4 inches by tomorrow. I had hoped the worst of winter was over, but at least we are not in the East.
