Right Wing against Right-Wingers

Posted: Nov 4, 2010

The Alaska Senate race has devolved into a fight between two Republicans!  A two-party system.   I can't wait to see all those solutions the new House is going to propose!

Right wingers - lol

I was reading some articles this morning on what this will mean for our country. Most said nothing will get done, as it usually never does when there is a split congress. Some will be happy though. Several articles said that the health insurance companies and the banks are happy because now they have more "friends" in government. Gee, I'm really happy for them. I'm also sure more jobs will go overseas because the pubs are against Obama's plans for stopping that.

Happy days are here!

And we know who to thank - nm

Not really sure what you mean by that.

I will be 'unhappily' thanking those that voted in the Tea Party/Republican House as stated above:

"Several articles said that the health insurance companies and the banks are happy because now they have more "friends" in government." Gee, I'm really happy for them. I'm also sure more jobs will go overseas because the pubs are against Obama's plans for stopping that."

You see, the Republican and Tea Party has already accepted tons of money from the US Chamber of Commerce and other big businesses who are in favor of using cheap labor overseas. They (pubs and tp) already filibustered against a bill to give tax credits to businesses who hire in America. More of the same coming.

By voting in the pubs and Tp, they also voted for more jobs going overseas.

I was being sarcastic in my above message. I thought you were blaming Obama for it. That is what I could not understand.

Sorry, I didn't pick up on that - silly me

No big deal.
I bet the insurance companies are happy - sm

I know a lot of the insurance companies have been worried that they would not be able to compete with a government ran health insurance. Just think of all of the hundreds of thousands of hard-working Americans who work for these insurance companies. They now I'm sure are feeling a little more job security right now.

policy holders get to talk to someone in the US, but when the providers call the company, they get to talk to someone over in India.
Hmm, guess it could be so - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I worked for a provider up until a couple of years ago and had to call insurances daily. I never remember having to talk to people overseas. Most of the provider lines are almost completely automated. There are really few times when you need to speak to an actual person, and as I said, they were always American!
Speaking of India....wonder what Obama.... - sam

and his entourage are talking about while on trip costing us millions PER day when our economy is in the toilet and the debt rising as we speak....3000 people, 40 jetliners to haul them....you know, that probably would have paid your health insurance premiums for YEARS. It also could REDUCE THE DEBT. Oh, but I am sure that is just okie dokie by your standards. You don't care how much he spends as long as you get your cut in the form of entitlements...right? Yes, government funded health insurance is an entitlement. Yes, I understand we already have it in the form of Medicare. But with all due respect, if anybody deserves it it is people who have worked their butts off their entire working lives to pay into the US system. So why not wait until you are that age to get on the government tab...when you are close to having EARNED it. And yes, I am talking about MYSELF too. I do not expect YOU or any other American to pay for my insurance while I am well and able to do it for myself. It is called individual responsbility. Try it some time. Your fellow Americans will thank you.

Yeah, until nobody can afford insurance then they will be laid off like the rest of the people and not be able to afford insurance.
Yeah, that will be tough....then there will be no more worker bees... - sam

to pay for all the entitlements. And it IS an entitlement. Health insurance is not a "right." Find that for me in the Bill of Rights when you have a chance. It is a privilege and like other privileges, you have to pay for them. Yes, it is expensive. The way to control that is introduce competition into the marketplace, the same thing that keeps prices down for other products and services. It is not rocket science. Quit thinking your fellow Americans need to pay for your health insurance and figure out a way to pay for it yourself. Over 85% of Americans DO.

Who the H##l gave you the right to say I expect somebody to pay for my health insurance. I have worked all my life and never received anything free from the government. Why don't you get off your high horse and don't criticize me when you don't know what the h##l you are talking about. My tax dollars are paying for illegal aliens to live here, for lazy people who don't want to work, so they can have health care, for helping other countries that hate us and all this while millions of Americans who work hard every day cannot afford to go to the doctor because the health insurance industry, oil companies and financial institutes are ripping us off and making fortunes. I have insurance and don't expect my fellow Americans to pay for it, so get over yourself. Maybe you have been fortunate in being able to buy health insurance and keep a roof over your head and feed your children, but millions out there have to work many jobs just to keep a roof over their head and food in their mouths, not just because they are lazy and think the government owes them something. People like you make me sick. You think it is okay for big business to make fortunes off us and send our jobs overseas, so they can live high on the hog, but think it is wrong for the working people to be able to afford health insurance. Get over yourself!
Relax...calm down.... - sam

I believe the lines got blurred here. Let's address your points: Your tax dollars are paying for illegal aliens to work here. You are right. Mine are too. I don't like it either. Obama is the amnesty and hand them all their rights whether legal or not...so he and the Democrats are not your folks. They want those immigrant votes.

I agree about lazy people who do not want to work. I don't like that either. Obama is all about providing those people what they do not want to work for. He wants the entitlement crowd's votes. So the Democrats are not what you want there either.

So you need to get your facts straight and "blame" the right people for the right things.

Now...helping other countries. If you do not think Barack Obama is about helping other countries, you need to check into that as well. He is ALL about a "global" economy.

I would like to remind you that over 85% of this country do have health insurance. The number of "uninsured" is mimimal compared to the overall insured, and many of those are uninsured by choice...that being young people. They choose to spend that money on something else and roll the dice, and it does not matter, because if they do have a catastrophic illness they will be taken care of, because NEVER has someone died because they were not treated. If you can prove even ONE case, please let me know what that is. The point here is that for the Obama plan to work, he had to make it law that you HAD to carry health insurance. That is illegal and against the constitition of the United States, and it basically forces those of us who DO work to pay for health insurance for those who DO not, because the illegals and those who don't want insurance are going to be forced to carry it. Now in what world does that make sense? Not in mine. It needs to be repealed.

Try to focus on this if you can stop blaming me and wanting me to get over myself. "Big businesses" are ALL of the employers in this country. THEY create jobs. Without them, there are NO JOBS. Obama is union backed. That is obvious. Demos are union backed. What UNION ever CREATED a job? None, except for their own hierarchy, getting RICH on the dues of the workers they are supposed to represent. Now if anything, you should be asking THEM to get over THEMSELVES.

Please try to focus again..."big businesses" started offshoring because when Dems are in power, they tax them to death!! Our corporate tax rates are higher than ANYWHERE else in the world. Now you tell me...if you can go to the store next door to you and pay 50% in taxes, but two blocks over there is a store where you are only going to pay 10% in taxes, which store are you going to?? Just how much do you expect all the employers in this country to absorb? What you are saying here, and what has you so angry, is class warfare, and Obama and the Democrats are really good at that. That is how socialism takes hold. They make you envy and want what the other guy has and make you think that they have run over people to get it, when in fact that is the opposite.

You need to redirect your anger at the people really responsible for your plight, and get on the bandwagon to stop the crazy taxation of our US businesses so they can afford to do business in the US. That is not a Republican thing. I am not a Republican. I hate political parties.

It is a COMMON SENSE thing.

Can you please post obama's plans to stop offshoring? - sam

That would be great! And what pray tell do you think he is doing on his tour of Asia that starts in...oh my...INDIA and includes oh my...CHINA, the people who hold the IOUs on most of the 3 trillion deficit he has created in just 1 year and 10 months in office!! How do you justify the millions per DAY that is costing we the people? 3000 people, 40 jets, 150 of those PRESS so he can preen and look important overseas...he wants to go over THERE when we are in such a mess HERE. Yeah, tell me again how much he CARES. Pullezzee. Why not apply those millions to reducing the deficit???? How much are you willing to ignore?? The "pubs" have nothing on this guy. And if nothing gets done that is due in large part to a stiff-necked no cooperation PRESIDENT.

2012 cannot come soon enough.

Hey, you have the House - No faith in them?

[ In Reply To ..]
Part of the job description for the President is foreign policy. I am so glad he knows that Africa is a continent. Lets see the pubs plan, it would be about time.
You don't get it either.... - sam
[ In Reply To ..]
stop for a second and try to focus. You keep saying "you" have the house. I agree. "We" have the House. By that I do NOT mean Republicans, I mean "WE" the people. It was not just Republicans who made that landslide, historic repudiation of an administration's policies..it was other Democrats, Independents, AMERICANS. You really don't understand it do you? The MAJORITY of this country, forget political parties, REJECTED Obama and his policies. Soundly. Completely. Good old fashioned butt-kicking. Even in states with more registered Democrats than Republicans.

You are really embarrassing yourself now. Just give it up. Understand what really happened here. This was not a Republican thing. This was an AMERICAN thing. I only have a political party on my voter card because I HAVE to have one to vote, and it is not Republican, it is Independent. I HATE political parties.

Again, you are RIGHT. We the people took the House back, and if our elected representatives don't try to do what they say they are going to do, they will be gone next.

You should stop following Obama in rote lockstep like the swine running over the cliff into the sea, and try to really understand what has happened here. Are you really so locked into a political party that you can't see that?

And by the way...you need to watch a network that will actually let an elected official who is not a Democrat talk uninterrupted, read a conservative newspaper as well as those from the left, and think for yourself without waiting for the email from the DNC and you would know what the republicans are saying they are going to try to do.

You would be doing yourself a great favor.
I second that - Excellent post - anon

What are you trying to prove? It is ALWAYS an American thing. - DOH!

Whether power has shifted to the republicans, or the democrats, or whatever. Everyone knows it is an American thing. That does not change the fact that power shifts one way or the other. Get a grip!
