I'm not sure why this concept is so difficult to grasp, however, the average American is not in any way racist. It is race baiting posts like this that keep racism alive and festering.

I never change my moniker because there's someone on this board who ALWAYS gives me a dislike no matter what I post, and I don't want to make it harder for him/her.

I call it my stalker. Even if I post something that he/she would like, they would still give me a dislike. So I like to make it easy for them. ;)

In fact, I rarely vote anyone down unless it's just way out there, I usually just abstain and make an opposite point, if I don't like it - now there's some truth :)

Not sure why someone would want to post similar to your name, but I will take that claim at face value as truth and thanks for letting us know. To whomever's doing it, I think it's confusing and uncalled for.

The mention of racist acts is not race baiting. The fact that there are people committing racist acts in essential in the discussion of racism and how it affects society on the w hole is necessary.

The post was well-titled. If the discussion of racism makes for more racism, don't read it. For most it would become a slow realization of small bits and pieces of things that are happening that are racist that they might never have realized and it would slowly make the world less racist.

I remember being taught about the Irish and seeing signs - Irish need not apply,
