Question for Trump supporters - our outsourced jobs

Does anyone think that IF he does win and IF he does somehow bring some or most companies back home, will our MT jobs from India/Philippines be some of them? Is this even possible? I'm 48 and not able to retire anytime soon! We're in so much trouble.;

What DT says he will do and what he actually can do are different things. This will take an act of congress, and you know how long that takes. Those guys have $$ at stake in this too. Even if changes were to be made it would probably take years to see for it to become effective. And remember, DT also sends jobs out of the country.

I am no financial expert, but you would think moving jobs back to the U.S. would be a no-brainer, i.e. state, federal, and local taxes, funds to Social Security, and reduction in government assistance on different levels. I believe the only people profiting from this are large corporations, where the trickle down is not working. Yes, it would affect many businesses but you know what, if you can't afford to do business in this country, then don't. Merge, like our industry has. Same with minimum wage. If you can't afford to do business here and pay a fair wage, then you don't do business. Even if our wages did not go up, bringing jobs back, I think, would be wise financially for the nation as a whole. But then again, I am not as smart as DT, with his billions, bankrupt businesses, etc.

It was a few months ago, during the debate season. My feeling was even if he isn't the nominee or even if HC becomes president, it wouldn't hurt to get the word out there. I didn't write HC because I doubt she would do anything about it since her husband was the one who signed NAFTA into effect.

would be a boon to MTs across the U.S., many of whom struggle to make minimum wage. Trump is certainly not interested in raising the minimum wage, much less than to $15 an hour.

My dear mother always told me if you don't ask, the answer will always be no. So I told him about the issues, and asked if he becomes POTUS if he could do something. At least I tried, and others tried, and sure, we may never get an answer, but at least we did something besides sit on this board and put people down and call them names, and whine and cry. We were proactive. May not make a difference in the end, but ...... Never hurts to ask.

He's pro big business. So no, I think he'll - send MORE jobs overseas.

Just because he SAYS he'll "bring jobs back" doesn't mean he'll even TRY, let alone actually do it. Trump does NOT care about the average American citizen, or the average world citizen for that matter. The only thing Trump cares about is Donald Trump.

dedicated the last 8 years to blocking any progress at all along those lines, simply out of spite for the current President. Even if it meant shooting themselves in the foot, which they are of course reaping the benefits of now.
