Did it start when Romney was CEO of Olympics? - nm

[ In Reply To ..]

No. - Nice try.

[ In Reply To ..]
Romney would insist on "Made In America," I have no doubt.

I am sure Mr. Bain Capital Transparency will be forthcoming - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
with those records and the "made in America" labels (just like he is so forthcoming about his offshore accounts in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda and, of course, his tax returns.) I just bet there are dozens of people trying to track down those records as we speak. Time will tell.

Romney's horse got a $77,000 tax CREDIT - all the angles

[ In Reply To ..]
Besides having lots of friends who own Nascar and professional sports teams, he has his own Olympic dressage horse that he gets a tax credit on. I hope I am rich someday. What is that minimum wage anyway?

That's only part of the story. - main stream media's class warfare.

[ In Reply To ..]
Horses are used for medical/physical therapy. You probably know that the horse you're talking about is Ann Romney's, and that she has MS. As long as the tax credit is by the books, there's nothing wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with keeping your money in the Cayman Islands - Except for tax evasion

[ In Reply To ..]
Swiss and Cayman Island bank accounts. Tax credits for horses. I have to wonder why Mitt is keeping his tax returns such a big secret. What else does he have hidden?
Offshore, like Pelosi? - But - it's legal.
[ In Reply To ..]
We can't complain if what people do is within the law. If we don't like it, work to change the law.
Yeah, and offshore like that liar Debbie Wasserman - Shultz... she does it too. nm
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
Are Nancy and Debbie running for president? - Does not relate - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
when they run for president, I will ask the same questions then.
Does it really matter one way or the other, no matter - which side?
[ In Reply To ..]
They're not doing anything to break any laws. Like another poster said, if you don't like the laws, work to change them, not denigrade those who take advantage of them.

Personally, if I had the kind of money those people did, I'd do the same thing.
THEY run their mouths, represent the dems and Obama - They are also two-faced liars, so it DOES matter.n
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
I hope you are not a woman. - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
.
What does that have to do with anything? He/She - says Pelosi and Deb are liars. They are. nm
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
No they are not. Standing by your convictions does - not make you a liar. nm
[ In Reply To ..]
.
Pelosi and Deb are liars - ...
[ In Reply To ..]
You can tell they're lying when their lips move.
What about John Kerry - Nobody asked him when he ran
[ In Reply To ..]
Nohting but the usual double lib standard. NO ONE did to John Kerry what is being done to Romney. Kerry MOVED MASSIVE JOBS TO MEXICO..never a peep when he was running.
Because you say so? - Prove it, nm
[ In Reply To ..]
.
lots of people asked him to account for this - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
I find it amusing that people on the left are so - concerned with transparency all of a sudden.
[ In Reply To ..]
Demanding such information when Obama hasn't exactly been Mr. Transparency, even back when he was running for president. Any time anyone brought up things that weren't being disclosed by Obama, they were called racist - a theme that has continued.

Give me a break.
Good one! The left cant be transparent because they - are too hypocritical for that! nm
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
No more free stuff for you! - Eat cake!
[ In Reply To ..]
Another famous quote from Willard Mitt Romney
Nope. Romney never offered "free stuff" - That's A Liberal tactic used to get votes.
[ In Reply To ..]
And, "Let them eat cake" was coined in the 1800s. Currently describes the attitude of Mrs. Obama. Mr. O. promised to have the most transparent administration ever. Still waiting on that.
disagree - ...
[ In Reply To ..]
Mrs. Obama does not embrace a "let them eat cake" attitude. Like, really?
You're right, because cake would be - fattening.
[ In Reply To ..]
"Let them eat soy" would be more like it. Fer sure.
so you agree, then - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
I do, at least about using the term - cake.
[ In Reply To ..]
She would never advocate that. Soy, however, would be a nice, cheap, and non-fattening alternative and I can totally see her saying that. She does have a kind of "I'm better than you" attitude.

I could be wrong; she could be a very nice person, but that's just my humble opinion.
I don't feel that embracing fresh food demonstrates an attitude - just my opinion
[ In Reply To ..]
It's not just that, it's an overall attitude - thing.
[ In Reply To ..]
I was just responding to the cake comment on here.
maybe "just say no to cake" would be better - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
Yes she does - she's condescending,
[ In Reply To ..]
acting like she knows better than we as parents do what's good for our kids.
I see a lot of fat kids these days, way more than in the 70s. - me
[ In Reply To ..]
Maybe she does know better.

And, no, she's not fat herself. Her BMI is definitely within the normal range.
I'm pretty sure that was Marie - Antoinette.
[ In Reply To ..]
Besides, there is no such thing as "free stuff." Someone always pays for it.
No more free stuff for you! - Eat cake! - Michelle ***-obammie
[ In Reply To ..]
Then she'll want your BMI and blood sugar, blood pressure, EKG, waist size. If it's not where she and *** Obammie want your benefits will be denied any treatment withheld...after all, they are trying to "cleanse" the race to fit their socialist idea of a perfect race.
nothing sudden about it - sm

It may be that you are too young to remember various historical episodes that have made accountability so popular.

I heard that today and something amazing actually happened.... - Zville MT

[ In Reply To ..]
Harry Reid and I actually agree on something! He said today that the Olympic committe should be ashamed of themselves. I totally agree - what were they thinking of?

China is a part of the world - why is that wrong?

[ In Reply To ..]

I just think that the athletes are from America, - Zville MT

[ In Reply To ..]
they should be wearing American-made clothes and such. I'd be willing to bet the Chinese athletes aren't wearing uniforms made in a different country. Just seems to me that if you're representing your country, you should be totally representing your country, 100%.
oh, I gotcha! that makes sense - agree
[ In Reply To ..]
I agree that American atheletes should be in American-made garments.

I misunderstood and thought that it was a global Olypmic contract or something. Thanks for the clarification.

Then outsourcing MT jobs to India is okay, after all they - are part of the world?

[ In Reply To ..]
:{

Yeah, at least they're not outsourcing to Mars. - nm

I heard on NPR that it was the decision - of the designer,

[ In Reply To ..]
Ralph Lauren, to have the Chinese make them.

True. Because it was much cheaper. Just think - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
of the publicity he is getting with that huge Ralph Lauren logo on the front of each piece of clothing. Disgusting. A real patriot huh? Even if he had provided the uniforms for free it would not equal the benefit he reaped. Next Olympics the uniforms will be made in the USA, Yea!
It's ironic b/c the print ads portray him - as the quintessential
[ In Reply To ..]
American designer. And he went w/China. I hope he has learned his lesson. I can't even buy a nice Land's End shirt for my hubby's work wardrobe without wondering where it was made. The catalog will say "Imported," but not from where.

How Federal Funds Helped Mitt Reverse Olympic Revenue ShortagesJul 21, 2012
The Romney camp has attempted to steer focus away from his term as governor, and is now chafing under the yoke of his business credentials of late.  Maybe they would be more comfortable with national scrutiny of his involvement in the 2002 Winter Olympics since candidate often points to that experience as a fundamental resume qualification for running the country “like a business.” After overcoming initial Mormon and non-Mormon local opposition based on perceptions of cronyism ...
