Mittens goes rogue, adds unknown blond SP clone

Posted: Jul 28, 2012

You just can’t make this stuff up.

Pam Barbie….make that 46-yo Pam Bondi, FL Attorney General first-termer and lead state plaintiff in the case against the Affordable Care Act, is in the running as a potential long-shot VP contender (link 1).  She argues PPACA violates the constitution.  Guess she didn’t get the memo.  This must mean she supports refusing Medicaid funding and instead thinks it’s a better idea to let Florida join the ranks of the welfare queen red states planning to go on the dole after the mandate kicks in, without a second thought to nearly 4 million of Florida’s uninsured over age 18 she would leave in limbo.

She’s also been guest legal analyst on Focks Shrews.  According to Business Insider, who scooped the story, ”being really pretty” should help her out since some GOP political advisors think a pleasing TV appearance is an important qualification for a party candidate (link 2).  They published a photo of her serving drinks on an “aircraft” to male passengers, but a quick glance could leave the impression she got her previous experience at Hooters Sports Bar or maybe some FL beach dive.  Turns out she wasn’t a former “aircraft” stewardess after all.  She was hosting her wedding guests right before she abandoned her groom in the Cayman Islands wedding-that-never-was this past May, as described below.

On a more serious note, in her 2010 bid for attorney general, Candidate Barbie received a ringing endorsement from Alaskan counterpart, has-been Caribou Barbie, during the primary.  Shortly after she was sworn in, state AG lawyers investigating massive mortgage lender fraud in FL (forged foreclosure documents ring a bell?) eventually led a FL Supreme Court judge to rule against Lender Processing Services in 2011.  LPS complained to the AG’s office and VOILA!  Under threats of being fired, the investigating attorneys were forced to resign.  According to cons blogosphere spin, it was because they were "too aggressive."

LPS was not the only corrupt lender who was turned a preferential enforcement blind eye, despite Florida’s having one of the highest foreclosure rates in the country at the time.  Enforcement of economic crimes under Candidate Barbie has been notoriously soft, to put it mildly.  AG Blondie is also known for accepting campaign contributions from companies under active AG investigation, LPS and its parent company being among them.  Her critics say she has a penchant for influence peddling to GOP network outsiders as well.  That she has already become a favored ALEC princess should surprise no one.

In the juicy tidbit category, Pammy-pie cancelled a Cayman Island wedding at the last minute without explanation (link 3).  She said it would be rescheduled at a Tampa-area Baptist Church but so far that hasn’t happened.  Some speculate she bowed to pressure from cons who felt her Caribbean nuptial plans were politically “tone deaf.”

The way the post was written, sounds like the author is a liberal gossip columnist. Comes across that way, at least. Especially the naming put-downs. A little juvenile, IMHO.

100 thumbs up! - Keep em coming!

This stuff writes itself. These are the credentials - Mitt's new VP pick offers up

I agree. It does sound like gossip, but those are the few facts known about her. If you take issue with my presentation or writing style, why not do a rewrite more to your liking or, better still, try refuting the content? Apolitical vapid personal blasts say much more about the shooter than they do about their target. If you think my post is bad, just wait until the pros in the liberal press sink their teeth into this lunacy. If I were in your shoes, I'd be about preparing myself for that onslaught, rather than taking issue with some obscure post on MTStars.

Damage control for Mitt's idiotic behaviors, flip-flops, policy deficits and impaired judgment calls are his supporters' problem, not mine. As far as the political parody is concerned, I can't help it if he just keeps on churning out great new material for his detractors to work with, day after day. I don't plan to miss single a chance to have some fun with it all between now and November.

would be for you to take a page out of Dionne Warwick's "Walk on By" playbook.

My mom was a politics fanatic who came from the opposite end of the spectrum. She once told me that life would always stay exciting and interesting for those who try to learn something new everyday. I took those words to heart and have discovered she was right on about that.

I'm just another average American progressive political junkie here, exercising 1st amendment rights and cherishing freedom of choice. Sorry to hear you think those prerogatives are reserved for a select few. BTW, fascist dictatorships are so mid-20th century and, for most, are a real turn-off, as is clearly demonstrated by the like-dislike ratio your post garnered within a few short hours of its debut.

I just think the pubs realize they made - yet another terrible mistake

who cares about the like/dislike button. it don't mean a dang thing other than somebody agrees or disagrees with the post. it does not mean that the likes or dislikes are any more right or wrong than the "pubs" or "dems" are. Big words do not mean a big brain...for sure, but they sure can reflect a big ....(insert whatever trips your trigger here). I dislike ALL politicians....they are all liars, all dishonest, money grubbing, backstabbing, proliferating, club weilding, nincompoops! and I dislike the people who seem to think their "side" is more right and better than the other, and find the need to spout about it every single second of every single day. nobody cares anyway. It is just another yet endless means of provoking yet another argument, bullying those that disagree with you, and trying to ACT intelligent ... but, your true colors show through your bravado. !!!
You nailed it again - Those that run on endlessly

Like the one above, seems more concerned about hearing herself talk...that poster sure doesn't isten to other and is majorly into insults and rude posts. People with the LEAST to say, use the MOST words to say it. Also, odd that the ones always so concerned with the likes and dislikes on here are the dems and libs...why so consumed with the adulation of people they don't know? HMMMM, must be part of lib mental illness we keep hearing about.

Cons trivialize, belittle and dismiss outright those they cannot buy, cheat others out of, steal, or suppress. The rest of us aggressively protect them with unflinching resolve through protest and dissent when they are withheld from any among us, or threatened by those who would impede our access to them. Courageous military men and womem across time have been willing to lay down their lives for the democratic ideals that gave them to us in the first place, AND for the rights of those who would treat them with such astounding disregard. To each his own.

The rest of this yada, yada, yada, whether it be against the poster or the despicible politicians you so vociferously denounce, speaks for itself and thus is left to stand on its own lack of merit.
right on target - Sadly with the writer

you refer to, they measure the validity of their posts, and I use that term loosely, by how many words are used and the number of insults embedded. Take out those 2 things, usually very little content and even less fact.

just saying you don't understand a post. When this happens I would suggest sticking to the one-line wonders and call it a day. However, attacking a poster simply because they broke the pub 3 sentence/12 word maximum rule really just makes you look silly.

15 paragraphs stating something you can put in two sentences, it kind of loses its validity and appeal. Big words and long posts make the writer look "silly," because they cannot seem to get their point across without extending the verbage and insults to the max. 'nuff said. :-)
So who cares if its 15 paragrahs.....sm - JTBB

You are saying there are certain writing styles one should stick to for this forum? That's just like tryig to tell someone they can't express their opinion. What strikes me as odd is that there are a lot of folks on here whining about the length of these posts, the humor used, the "big words" used. Seriously, why not discuss the political content instead of just attacking the poster? BTW, writing, in all forms, is subjective.
because the "political content" IS the problem - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
nothing is actually "discussed", but belittling and insulting "the other side," no matter what that side is. If you are in so much defense of our country, discuss it where it matters, which is surely not here on this forum! Take it to the politicians who are absolutely ruining this country, on BOTH Sides. Neither side is correct. and neither side is going to "save us." Battling one side against the other is only going to take us even further down than we already are. Stand together and correct the wrongs that have been committed over the past 100 years. Don't point the fingers at "the other side" when neither side has done our nation any good.

handling of mortgage fraud investigation outcomes, a state supreme court decision and its aftermath, failure to enforce economic crimes and how that was received by state attorneys working in the AG's office, sucking up to outside interests, influence peddling and taking illegal campaign contributions....how much more politics could have been packed into the piece to pass your sniff test?

This was previously addressed in the girls-just-wanna-have-fun 2012 campaign sentiments and with the reminder that as long as the Romney camp keeps churning out the material, it's up to his supporters, not his detractors, to do the damage control. The walk-on-by response would be your best bet.

cons conjure up some imagined sense of strengh in numbers, no matter how few, when they encounter polysyllabic libs they find intimidating. Their first line of defense is to hurl the "arrogant" or "elite" insult, winger code for academics, intellectuals and other "big-word-weilding" fact mongers (LOL). They go straight for the jugular whenever well supported opposing talking points otherwise leave them speechless. It must be terrible to live with such chronic insecurity. With a few exceptions, cerebral is not their strong suit.
9 sentences does not 15 paragraphs make - succinct, no big words...nm

Sarah Palin's new book reprises familiar claims from the 2008 presidential campaign that haven't become any truer over time. Ignoring substantial parts of her record if not the facts, she depicts herself as a frugal traveler on the taxpayer's dime, a reformer without ties to powerful interests and a politician roguishly indifferent to high ambition. Palin goes adrift, at times, on more contemporary issues, too. She criticizes President Barack Obama for pushing through a bailout ...
