car broke down

A man was driving along a busy road when he blew a tire. He pulled over by a field. On the other side of the field was an asylum. The man proceeded to change his flat tire. He took off the hub cab and placed the bolts into it. All the while a patient from the asylum stopped to watch. Just then a car rushed by knocking the hub cab and throwing the bolts all over the busy road. "Great!" the man said sarcastically, "What now?"

The patient said to him, "Why not take one bolt from each other tire and then you'll have three on the spare and 4 on the rest."

"Good idea...how'd you come up with that?" the man asked.

"I may be crazy but I'm not stupid."
