Jon Stewart is a comedian - these are his opinions - This board is being plagued - with his comedy routines
[ In Reply To ..]
Jon Stewart is a comedian. It does not matter what he talks about it is a comedy routine. When there is a comedy routine I usually find it on the comedy board. He is not a politician or news caster. He is a comedian (and funny one) with a comedy routine.
Over the past few weeks the political board has been plagued with his comedy routines. Some are funny, others are not, but if I want comedy I look at the comedy board.
Besides, these are not really political issues he is discussing, they are his opinions of issues. Some are funny others not, but it should be on the comedy board.
The banking reform bill IS politics and he is - commenting on that

If you don't care to listen to his take, feel free to skip these posts. He may be a comedian but he is making political points about issues that are of interest to many of us. In a way, he is providing his form of an editorial but framing in a funny context and even includes videos to back up his points. Does not make it any less political.
Just skip them if you don't want to watch or listen to them.
He is a comedian and he is doing a comedy routine - I dont mind listening to a comedy routine

But you are failing to remember that that is all it is...a comedy routine. His opinion made into a comedy skit.
No matter how much I like him, his comedy skit should be on the comedy board.
I agree.. am a fan, but he does not belong here.nm - Lucky

No he doesn't - he's a comedian doing a comedy skit - but not on actual facts
[ In Reply To ..]
People idolize him like what he has to say in his comedy skit is the truth. It is not. He is a great comedian, but that is it. He's not a politician or news caster. He makes fun of things from his perspective. The dangerous part is that people actually believe what he says is true. He is a comedian and he does a comedy skit on whatever he feels like. His skit is how he portrays things. He tells people to "f" off in his skits and after awhile he's doing the same thing over and over and over. He's not a politician and the routines he does in his skits are to make people laugh. They are not discussing issues in any real terms.
His comedy skits should go on the comedy board. Leave the political board for talk of politics.
Don't you just love the clips his show catches! - Mostly from FOX news.

His show is really good at capturing politicians at their worst, contradicting themselves, etc. I love his show but sometimes I wish they would clean up their act and get an hour on network doing pretty much the same thing. Give people something to think about. Will never happen.
It's no different than everyone mentioning Beck and Limbaugh on here. They are nothing but entertainers actually, and act like their opinions are everyone's opinion or they are stupid.
He takes a lot out of context, though. I am - bored with him now.nm

I think the guy is hilarious and makes very good points. - After all

the political arena has become pretty comical!!!!
I agree with other poster -- if you don't like these Stewart posts, then - Really?
[ In Reply To ..]
move on. The same right that you exercise to post your opposition to these posts is the same right we exercise to post them. Jon Stewart is a brilliant humorist and tackles very real political and social issues -- most of which target the truth and call out those that need to be called out. They provide a much needed comedic relief to this otherwise heated, angry forum.
Keep the Jon Stewart posts coming!!!
Yeah - Keep the Stewart posts coming !!!! - even though a comedian....
[ In Reply To ..]
he does provide some food for thought, a different perspective, and encourages people (like on this board) not to take themselves too seriously in the "facts" that they think they know because they read it somewhere or because a friggin politician said it!!
If you do not like those posts, no problem, DON'T READ THEM!!!
Then why is there a comedy board if they are going to - a comedy skit here?
[ In Reply To ..]
A guy doing a comedy skit about his opinion on things. Funny as he is he's not a politician or news person, just a comedian giving his opinion.
He's a political comedian - appropriate for either - board
[ In Reply To ..]
Get over it.
Well then this board should welcome all comedians - since they all make political comments
[ In Reply To ..]
It's not so much that this board of late has been blasted with his comedy routines, it's that people actually believe that what he has to say in his comedy skit is the truth. His job is to make people laugh, and give him credit for that he does. He is a funny comedian. But if you are going to put his comedy skits on a political board where then you are inviting all other comedy skits on this board.
There is a board for comedy. The political board has been inundated with videos of his comedy skits.
It's now evolving into a comedy board, not political. The sad thing is people actually believe what he says is truth. Sorry guys/girls...he is only spewing his opinion. Not an actual political facts - his opinions.
What "fact(s)" has he given that you perceive others - believe?
[ In Reply To ..]
Or, what "opinion" has he stated that you perceive others believe is fact?
I will. I always put his name in the subject - line so those who do not

want to listen will know right up front what it is and can avoid it.

Still Remember Those Banking Bail Outs?Jun 09, 2015
Americans were angry when Wall Street’s greedy and risky behavior triggered a global financial crisis in 2008. They were angrier still when the government had to borrow and spend hundreds of billions of dollars to rescue mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the largest banks and the insurance company AIG. They were outraged when they found out that executives at those enterprises were continuing to receive big salaries and bonuses.
So just imagine how outrageous it would be if so ...

Also, I still stand on my belief that if some do not want to buy health insurance, so be it. They shouldn't be forced to buy it. After thinking about this for quite a while and how some people state how we are mandated to have car insurance, wel ...

The Breast Pump Industry Is Booming, Thanks To Obamacare. :)Jan 05, 2013[Interested in a new line of work?]
Excerpts from Washington Post article, link to artle below.
"The legislators who drafted Obamacare wrestled with cosmic issues of health and spending, but here’s one consequence they didn’t foresee: a boom in demand for breast pumps that has left some retailers scrambling to keep up.
Tucked within the Affordable Care Act is a provision requiring insurance companies to cover breast pumps and visits to lactation consultants at no cost to ...

Re: Rod StewartMay 14, 2013You will all think I am crazy, but am having a difference of opinion with a good friend and would like to know what others say. Do you think Rod Stewart is handsome? I do. He (along with the Beatles and the Stones) was one of my faves back in the day. The other day I said that I thought Rod Stewart was handsome. My friend nearly choked on her coffee and said, "HANDSOME? You're crazy." What do you think? How would you classify Rod Stewart ...
