is that it points out the truth. Having a little trouble handling that, are ya?

Tsk tsk tsk - must be nice being so un-informed - hmmm

[ In Reply To ..]
As posters below said...this is creepy.

Especially since the person who created this is flat out wrong. Since public schools, public water system, public highways, and public parks were NEVER considered socialism, and nobody ever said they were. However, government takeover health care is just that...SOCIALISM.

Must be nice to live in your own world oblivious to the fact and making things up as you go.

Where do you get your info? - They most definitely were

[ In Reply To ..]
There were those shouting socialism about all of these things. As a matter of fact, there are those still shouting today, especially about public schools.

Proof please. Show me some article or something - hmmm

[ In Reply To ..]
Showing where these were called socialist ideas and where there were "those shouting socialism".

Some proof would be good to back up your claim. If you show me the proof I'll admit I'm wrong.
Do you use Google? - You can
[ In Reply To ..]
go to www.google.com and in the search bar type public schools socialism, and then replace public schools with public water system, and so on.
No, its your responsibility to provide proof to your claim - But go figure - no facts to back up your statement
[ In Reply To ..]
You make a statement like that, surely you must have some facts to back it up. This is what happens with people who get all their information from liberals who have nothing to back up what they say.

If you have no proof, then kindly say this is my opinion, not fact.

LOL! - too funny

...but you can't make a wingnut do research on a subject they don't care to learn about. If you posted links, the thread would just die. I've seen it over and over here.

Of course there have been those screaming "socialist!" about government programs in our country's short history. A quick google brought me to a site endorsed by Ron Paul which called our school system and our fire departments socialist.

There's a lot of Joe Wilson's on this board, don't ya think? Town hall mentalities. People who espouse minority ideas from talk radio and demand proof for things that are common knowledge. Kind of like telling you to prove milk comes from a cow.

Then, when they say milk comes from a watermelon and you ask where they got that idea, they say, "You wouldn't prove it came from a cow so don't tell me to prove it comes from a watermelon! Dang liberal socialist!"

Ah well. They are amusing ^^

took the time to actually read the article that accompanied it (though that's probably too much to ask, given that all some people have to do is see your moniker and decide they hate it...regardless of what "it" might be). Very good article. Thanks for posting it. :-)

Thanks. Yeah, that is exactly what I expect. - Colleen
