I think with the "cover up" of the Libya incident that seems to indicate the White House was well aware of the potential for disaster,and not taking action to protect our embassy personnel in Libya, Obama should be impeached if they do find out that this was indeed fact. If that had happened here in NYC there would be hell to pay...why shouldn't our embassy personnel have that same kind of reaction if a terrorist attack happens on foreign soil where we have Americans? I hope THIS puts the last nail in Obama's coffin. Being a celebrity personality and a "nice guy" doesn't help this country solve any of its problems. ;

And not only was Bush not impeached, he continues to this day to be credited for "keeping America safe" even though we were attacked on his watch and he ignored every single one of the following warnings:

May 1: “Group presently in the United States.”

June 22: “Attack could be imminent.”

June 29: “Dramatic consequences from attack.”

July 1: “Attack will occur soon.”

August 6: “Bin Laden determined to strike in U.S.”"

Patiently waiting for the outrage against the above facts, but only getting blind rage againts Obama's every move.

They are persecuting Bush for the wars, but they are supporting Obama and his wars.

Sounds like a double standard to me. Maybe all future men should run as democrats even if they are republicans so that they can get away with lying and murder and nobody will do anything about it.

By the way, Bush should have been impeached. Whose fault is it he wasn't? Pelosy and all the other democrats who were SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THEIR JOB. She and the other democrats are just as guilty for what happened. They aint getting off scott free.

Don't know of a time when he lied. If you're talking about Iraq and WMDs, he (and the Democrats) went by information obtained from the CIA and other spy agencies.

Don't forget-the Democrats also voted for that war.

This is just a quick example. I won't post a link. Just google and read. All viewpoints and versions are there, so you can just pick and choose to please yourself.

President Bush's not in prison right now because some people are occasionally above the law, something I profoundly disapprove of, regardless of who we're talking about and especially including our elected officials. Also, he wasn't impeached because such a thing would so disrupt government functioning while it went on that the Democratic Party chose not to pursue it--believing in the proper functioning of government and thus preferring to concentrate on passing legislation, something I understand but also disapprove of.

Darn those blasted fast fingers. I accidentally closed my window and I had a long reply. Now got to write it all again. :-)

Here is why I wrote what I did. I never did believe he lied to us (maybe sometimes I thought he did and other times he didn't, depending on what I'd read. But I don't believe he lied to us. I think he made his decisions based on the information provided to him.

He did not start a war on his own. A war was begun under his watch at the approval of congress (including democrats).

Okay, so here is the plain sad truth. I've always thought he should be impeached because DH would tell me that. I voted for him both times. I liked him as a president. I've done better as a middle income person under him than under the last two democrat presidents. I've always like Bush. He is a likeable man (not to all of course, but I think he's likeable and he's handsome too, though I try and not put much into looks, but it does help having a President who is nice looking). He's an intelligent man so matter what the haters want to believe. Graduate of Yale and earned an MBA from Harvard. Interesting note is he is the only President to have earned an MBA (and you can't buy them or create them in photoshop).

So, back to my discussion. When I thought he should be impeached it was because of illegal wire taps, torture, etc (more I don't want to get into). Since writing that I have done more research on it (amazing what you learn when you do your own research instead of depending on someone else no matter how much you trust them). My opinion on a lot of issues have changed from what I read (which most of it are yahoo forums with people arguing back and forth and learning a lot from that.

So...first I believed he should be impeached.

Today I don't.

Just after I wrote that last sentence I read something else that makes me think he should (still reading that), but then I'm sure if I keep reading I will read something else that shows he should not.

In summary...I don't know what I believe and it's going to take more reading and I don't have time and at this point it doesn't matter to me.

Bill Clinton lied to a grand jury. He was impeached and he should have been removed from office. Bush did not lie to a grand jury.

So truthfully and in ending...I do not know where I stand on this issue.

All in all I think he deserves the same respect that people want for other presidents. Whether you agree or not is your choice. It's a hard job.

Ill-informed voters who believe the hype and fear-mongering of their state representatives. Then after voting them into office, they don't hold them accountable for anything. Plus, whenever we have a Democratic president in office who tries to "take care of our own" ill-informed citizens cry "Socialist, Communist!" President Obama can't get a jobs bill passed to "help our own" because Republicans in Congress won't pass his jobs bill. Public sector workers canâ��t keep their jobs because Republicans in Congress would rather spend money on wars and outdated military equipment. Truth is, everybody in this country wants the government to stop spending money but at the same time, they want everything the government spends money on to make our society thrive. In other words, most people in this country love certain aspects of socialism but won't admit it because they have been made to believe it is such a horrible thing to use tax dollars to work for all of us. Our government is a perfect blend of capitalism and socialism if it is not allowed to be abused. The problem is not having a safety net or a hand up for citizens (We all pay for that: we all put in, we all benefit). The problem is vulture capitalistic greed and corporate control. Might as well face it, we have 2 choices: We can either have a government that controls certain aspects of this democracy to ensure fairness for us all or we can have corporations controlling ALL OF IT to protect and maintain the success of a few at the top. I vote for some government control. Call it socialism if you want; but it's far better than corporate dictators passing themselves off as capitalists.
