Kindness is the highest form of intelligence (something like that).

Here are some things mom (and dad too) taught me:

1. Treat others like I want to be treated.
2. Never make anyone feel less important than you are.
3. Do an act of kindness for others.
4. If someone needs help, stop what you are doing and help them.
5. If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all.
6. Always say please and thank you for everything.
7. Always address your elders as Mr. & Mrs. -.

So many other things I learned from my parents. God bless them both. I guess I'm not understanding how this fits with my post or what it even has to do with politics or the OPs topic of conversation.
