This year, I'm a one-issue voter: National and border security. Without these, it's an exercise in comedy to address anything else.

We either have a country or we do not, and as far as I'm concerned Trump cannot take office too soon.

Ted Cruz (and presumably Trump, although who knows what his position is as he keeps changing it) would force that young girl to have that baby and in some cases allow the rapist father the right to parent the child.

I know many who vote Republican only because they say they will make abortion illegal and "protect the unborn" but what about protecting this young girl, will the Republicans stand up for her?

In this case she should DEFINITELY have the right to an abortion without judgment and without transvaginal ultrasounds and the like, but by all accounts Trump just vocalized what has been the Republican platform all along, which is to make abortion illegal.

So how would that work then?

Kyle Parker, 22, is due in court Monday afternoon. Online records show Parker is charged with rape, murder, child molesting, kidnapping, strangulation and aggravated battery in the case.

I live in a city with millions. Every single day I see shootings, killings, rapes and the like. These are for the most part black on black but some not but very seldom do you hear illegal. When the outrage starts about these deaths then I will take note of a once in a blue moon death by an illegal. People who do things illegally do not necessarily stop at entering the US illegally. I love Hispanic people. I do not love people who do things illegally, no matter what the ethnicity.

Per FBI they cannot properly or fully vet refugees. I want them restricted, not because of their religion but because they are not able to be vetted.

and I think the people here are so immune to what goes on around them. I do not see people "outraged about both" when thousands of murders happen every year, not by outsiders but our US citizens. The majority of Latinos do not come to the states to kill, maim, commit crimes but rather to have a life that they don't have where they come from. Chicago, for example, had 43 murders in February. I do not remember ever seeing a posting about 1 of those here. The city I moved from a few years ago has murders averaging at least once every day and many times 2, 3 and 4 each day. Where is the outrage there? I do not condone the rape but am much more angry about the guy who raped and murdered the 1 year old and he was one of the good ole boys. Guess others overlook our own, only racial profiling works.

Please do give us the the numbers of rapes per year committed by undocumented immigrants as well as the numbers committed by American citizens. The point of my post was the senseless fear-mongering. Oh, and you needn't show your superiority by quoting facts about the justice system and prison costs and the vague etc of which you speak. I have already done my own research, as I tend to do with important issues, and do not consider myself ignorant at all in that regard. I addition, my father and brother are both attorneys and I have many relatives who are employed in various capacities within my state's prison system, the main institution of which happens to be in the town in which I live. Not surprisingly, the majority of our family dinner table discussions revolve around the very topics (justice system/prison system) of which you say I am ignorant.
