Economics debate tonight--Wage stagnation?

Posted: Oct 28, 2015

I won't be able to watch--will be working.  Here are some things I would like to see debated:

1.  Wages have only gone up 100+ percent in the last 35 years and the cost of living has gone up 300+ percent.  How would you address the wage stagnation of the working class?

2.  How would you address our failing infrastructure, city water and sewer, highways and bridges?

3.  How would you address the high cost of college education?

4.  How would you address wages paid to full time workers that are so low that that the workers qualify for public assistance?

5.  How would you ensure that  our children are receiving the proper nutrition and safety (both in regards to guns and environment) so that they can grow up healthy and productive.

6.  How would you address Medicare and Social Security?

7.  How would you address the high cost of health care?

8.  How many vacation homes, yachts, or hotels do you own?  Do you own both Boardwalk and Park Place?

What would you like asked?  Please post notes and comments after the debate, too.

So what were the numbers?

I suppose I thought you meant wrong about the numbers. Maybe you meant wrong about the "show." They WERE in fine clown form tonight.
Ted was GREAT, proving why we don't trust the liberal media. - He was right about the differnce

in question posed to Hillary and the left as opposed to the stupid questions asked to the republicans. He's the only true conservative left. The republican establishment doesn't represent us.
Then you are part of the total destruction of the Republican party - Establishment has left the building
[ In Reply To ..]
Now the Republican Party is left with the crazies. If those are the people who represent you, Heaven help us all.
Rubio talked about media bias and got a big applause. - His answers were priceless and

perfectly spoken.
I thought he looked like a sullen child when defending his poor budgeting skills - nm

Cruz certainly didn't do himself any favors, did he? - He is just so angry always

The guy is always angry. I wouldn't hire him to open doors at an apartment building or hotel.

Minimum WageOct 23, 2014
I heard a fellow on TV the other night say (quote?) a conversation at the dinner table the night before with dad telling his children "my dream for you is to some day have a minimum wage job."  The conversation was about minimum wage jobs not being the goal, but rather the stepping stone to a better job with better pay - people should strive to get out of the minimum wage jobs - not want them to be the best that they can do - with minimum wage, the employer can have more positions to offer ...

Who Makes Minimum Wage?Oct 29, 2014
Who makes minimum wage? Apparently not just your average fast food worker. The average age of a minimum wage worker is 35, not the teenager the Republicans are so afraid will raise the cost of their hamburgers.  54% of minimum wage workers labor at a full time job.  Not the teenager who works for a couple of hours after school.  27% of minimum wage workers support children.  Well, I am not sure if that is the teenager working down at the fast food joint--that probably dep ...

Ah, Yes - That $15 Minimum Wage In Seattle.Jul 23, 2015
Liberals really should listen to conservatives, who have a much better handle on economic matters. 1.  Hardly anyone has gone off the public assistance rolls. 2.  Restaurant workers are losing the tip income they depended on, both because patrons know about the new wage, and don't feel obliged to tip, and also because some restaurants are adding a 15% surtax on the bill to cover their labor costs. 3.  People asking for LESS hours so they don't lose their welffare (!). ...
